Have you ever wondered what your seaglass was before you found it?
I think that’s part of the charm, a pirate’s rum bottle, a mermaids perfume bottle or just a vintage Coca Cola bottle 🤷🏻‍♀️
What we do know is that 1000’s of storms and waves have shaped these everyday objects into beautiful ocean treasures.
We like to think that seaglass symbolises renewal and represents the beauty of change brought from strength & survival.

There’s a reason you’re drawn to cowrie shells.
Maybe it’s because you have always been drawn to the ocean.
Maybe because you’re an adventurous traveller who kept a cowrie from that special beach.
Or maybe it’s to do with their history over thousands of years as being protective talismans for travellers and mothers or as symbols of wealth.
Whatever it is we share that love of these special shells. We also don’t want to impact the biodiversity of the beautiful beaches where these come from. For that reason we always use cowrie shells we have personally upcycled from post consumer goods to give them a second life.

Quite often how I run my business isn’t determined by spreadsheets and profit margins. More like I do whatever brings me joy or what I think is the right thing to do.
Maybe that’s why I’m still a small business, but hopefully it means my customers are a lovely discerning bunch and that counts in my mind 🙌🏻😄
