Some of the best In the world, you’ll find them doing what they love to do & usually are found “doing what they love to do” especially when it’s good and the entire beach is empty….some of the best are just blessed with each opportunity and each opportunity “they just get better and better and better” every time, session, training they are just gifted “grace” with everything they do 🙂‍↕️Here’s just the most awesome human I actually have had the greatest time growing up with, learning from each other and sharing waves has been a journey. she does more than anyone really knows…most on here actually do know 😅🙏🏾🤝🏾 but not only does she absolutely rip and charge, she’s a life guard, she’s train junior lifeguards and preps them, she’s a great mother, a leader of the community, strong wahine core values and inspires all that arrive at her doorstep. Being that good at what you do is a gift In this world, being able to teach and prepare the youth with a “can do attitude” it’s no wonder whatever it is she puts her mind too, gets done 💯💯🫶🏽👌🏾Really just the most amazing human you’d have the honor to meet. 🚨🌊 Attention to all those interested in a career as a beach lifeguard for @honoluluoceansafety! Registration will be open May 15th & 16th at Ala Moana Beach Park at the Training Center behind Tower 1B. A career as a beach lifeguard is challenging yet incredibly rewarding. These lifeguards go above and beyond with ocean safety. They take proper preventative measures to keep our community safe and are the best when dealing with ocean emergency situations. They truly put their lives on the line for others EVERY SINGLE DAY!I’ve met some of the most amazing beach lifeguards and they all have hearts of gold. 💛 Mahalo to our Beach Lifeguards for everything you do! Proud Aunty Moment! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽Poli’ahu, at just 18 month, old is now fully skilled in her ISR Swim Float Swim sequence! She can aquatic problem-solve and self-rescue from a variety of placements—and most importantly, she is water safe! 💦With both of her parents always in the ocean and surfing, there’s no doubt she’ll grow up surrounded by water. Giving her these skills this early is everything. 💛Mahalo, Kaiulani, aka @oceanbeandip for being such an active part of water safety. As a lifeguard, you of all people know how important prevention is when it comes to drownings and ocean safety. I truly appreciate you giving Poli this extra layer of protection in and around the water. ❤️💛Every time one of my keiki graduates, it melts a piece of my heart. 🫶🏽 Watching her work so hard to reach this point is such an accomplishment—especially for someone under 2 years old. Drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages 1–4 worldwide. 😢That statistic is why I do what I do.Through ISR Oahu’s swim lessons, children learn real self-rescue skills that could save their lives. Keiki from across Oahu’s High School Surf Teams, from Kahuku, to Kalaheo, Farrington and many more, participated in a special Junior Lifeguard class the past two days. Besides vigorous running, swimming and conditioning the kids were taught risk assessment, how to recognize someone in distress, ways to respond to emergencies, basic rescue techniques, hands only CPR and how to operate an AED. We are so happy to present this first group of teens with Junior Lifeguard certificates knowing that it will not only make their training and contests safer but also line ups around Oahu. Looking forward to the next group tomorrow! by @oceanbeandip
