@kylesoto: "This jellyfish was light work for Splitfin the sea turtle! I've been diving with this turtle for years now and its the first time I've gotten to see him chow down a whole moon jelly. What's scary is how similar they look to plastic bags, it would be hard for even us to tell the difference underwater. Make sure to choose reusable options and refuse single use plastics for the safety of our turtles and all marine life!"

@mermaid.kayleigh: "We had a bit of a show the other day @kaimanaoceansafari when a shark began to hunt a sick fish!

This is a prime example of their role in the ecosystem- to remove the dead, dying, weak, injured life below them to allow the strong to survive, reproduce, & not spread the sick around. In this situation it's best to get out of the water for safety & let nature take its course. 💙🦈"

@andriana_marine: Sharks tend to be attracted to high contrast objects because they don't see in a full color spectrum the way that we do.

This is why colors like bright yellows, whites, and oranges can get extra attention from the sharks as these colors REALLY stick out to them and have a much higher contrast with the blue water.

It is best to wear more neutral colors like blacks, greys, and dark blues when diving with sharks to minimize any extra attention from them.
This is especially true if you are diving in low visibility environments because those bright colors will only stand out more!
