We are absolutely stoked to announce that we made it into the Fremantle Underwater Film Festival this year! 🌊🎥

The 11th Annual Fremantle Underwater Film Festival will be running from the 2nd–4th of October at Hamilton Hill Memorial Hall, bringing together ocean lovers, filmmakers, marine scientists, artists and conservation organisations for three nights celebrating the underwater world.

Our short film telling the story behind Ocean Planet will be screening as part of this year’s official selection, and we honestly couldn’t be more excited to see it up on the big screen.

The festival will showcase 15–20 selected underwater short films each night, alongside marine science and conservation stalls, ocean art, food and plenty of other ocean-loving people.

Even better, 100% of ticket profits from the festival go towards marine biodiversity conservation.

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported Ocean Planet and helped us get to this point. This is only the beginning :)

🌊 SOME OCEAN STORIES BEGIN WITH ADVENTURE.

Others begin by simply paying attention.

A movement beneath the surface.
A creature we’ve swum past a hundred times.
A familiar coastline seen from a different perspective.
A story hiding in plain sight.

For FUFF 2026: HOME WATERS, filmmakers @chachi_on_wave and @wei_llllllllluo from the @oceanplanetapp team brings us into their corner of the ocean and asks us to look again.

That’s one of the things we love most about ocean film.

A filmmaker can spend hours, months — sometimes years — observing a place or a species, then give an audience a few precious minutes inside that experience.

Suddenly, something unfamiliar becomes known.

Something overlooked becomes remarkable.

And the ocean becomes a little less like scenery and a little more like a living neighbourhood we belong to. 🐟🦑🪸
