HYROX RACE DAY 1 🙌🏽🥇
With only a month and a half of training 🥺.

This has to be the most challenging and rewarding experience of my life ! 🥺. Mid-race I was thinking “ Jesus please help me “ 🤣 and I’m So Grateful that He came through for me and for showing me what I can do when I believe in Him and give Him Glory, from training, to injuries and finally game day, thank You, Jesus 🙌🏽.

For a lot of us, running is the only time we truly get to spend by ourselves. We’re constantly surrounded by people, at work, at the gym, in our training and running clubs. Running becomes our therapy, our escape, and a space where we can simply be.

I started running when I was eight years old, and it has always been something sacred and freeing to me. So many of us also run for something bigger than ourselves, to raise funds for children living with heart defects, for breast cancer awareness, for charities and causes that need our voices and our miles.

It’s heartbreaking that something that has always represented freedom, community and purpose is now being overshadowed by fear.

Today, I’m running in honour of every woman whose life has been affected by violence.

And ladies, please don’t stop running. Take the precautions you need to feel safe. Find a running buddy. Join a running club. Run together. Look out for one another. But don’t stop moving.

Our freedom should not have to become smaller because of someone else’s violence.

Keep moving. Keep running. Keep taking up space. 💜

What you eat matters. 🤍🥘🏃‍♀️🏋️‍♀️

You can spend hours in the gym, follow the perfect training plan, and show up every day, but if you’re not fueling your body properly, you’re leaving so much on the table.

I used to train hard but I wasn’t really paying attention to what I was eating. Now that I’m intentional about it, my energy is better, my recovery is better, my runs feel better, and I’m actually seeing the results I was working so hard for.

I’ve also started seeing it differently. My body is God’s temple, and taking care of it is part of how I honour Him. What I put into my body matters because it affects what I get out of it.

Your body is always responding to how you treat it. Feed it well, and it’ll show up for you when it’s time to perform. 🤍🥇
