Orthodox Christian Fellowship at @illinois1867 Meetings: Tuesdays 6PM at the NIKA House

💛 HELP CHRISTOPHER FIND HIS MATCH 💛

This Tuesday, October 13th at 6:30pm, we are partnering with the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) to host a stem cell donor registry drive in support of Christopher “Fiss” McKay, a 20 year old fellow Greek Orthodox Christian who is currently fighting Chronic Myeloid Leukemia.

Christopher urgently needs a stem cell transplant, and we have the opportunity to come together as an Orthodox community to potentially help save his life.

Getting swabbed is incredibly quick and easy! It only takes a few minutes, and all it involves is a simple cheek swab. While the chances of being a match are small, taking those few minutes could truly change someone’s life.

Anyone ages 18–35 is encouraged to come register! You do not have to be Orthodox or Greek to participate!

Can’t make it? You can still help by texting Fight4Fiss to 61474 to register and receive a swab kit in the mail.

Please consider stopping by, sharing this post, and keeping Christopher and his family in your prayers. Even the smallest effort could make a life changing difference. 💛 by @ocfillinois

This past weekend we honored former OCAA President and original OCF Illinois member at our NIKA house. Lou Laros is now honored as an Archon by the Order of Saint Andrew, the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarch. Blessed Memory to him, we are beyond thankful for all the dedication him and his family has and continues to put forth for the NIKA House and OCF Illinois. 🤍🙏 by @ocfillinois
