Ryan Roberts spent nearly 30 years on international oil rigs. Today, he's a nurse. 💙 Long before he ever set foot on a rig, this Acadiana native had thought about a career in nursing. Then, decades later, something clicked. While working during the pandemic to help bring physicians and nurses into the response effort, he saw healthcare up close and knew it was time. Ryan enrolled in the 15-month nursing program offered through the partnership between the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and Ochsner Lafayette General. The program is designed to bring driven, experienced people into healthcare and help manage the growing need for nurses in our community. Ryan is now a medical-surgical nurse at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center. His journey is proof that it is never too late to answer a calling. Ryan, thank you for taking on a new career path and joining our team! by @ochsnerlafayettegeneral
