Happy Halloween! It’s been a fun couple weeks of playing “Pumpkin Balance”. by @ockidsyoga

Hey! Have you heard?? OC Kids Yoga was voted “Best Kids Yoga Studio” in the September issue of @parentingocmag for their 24th Annual Parenting OC Readers’ Choice Awards 🎉🎉🎉. Thank you to the parents who have supported me throughout my 10 years of teaching kids yoga (YES, it’s been TEN years!). I can hardly believe that this little idea/ dream/ love of mine came true and I get to live it every day. #kidsyoga #parentingoc #yogaforkids by @ockidsyoga

When it’s 102 degrees outside and the AC is trying its best to cool the room down but it’s still so hot- we pivot to a mindfulness activity to keep our bodies calm and still. The kids loved making these breathing sticks! by @ockidsyoga

This moment at the end of every yoga class I teach always makes me feel so grateful for what I do. No edits, no sound over the real audio. Just the result of a 30 minute yoga class and a really good savasana. Do you do any calming activities with your kids? by @ockidsyoga

Fly like a butterfly 🦋 by @ockidsyoga

GOAT YOGA // I stubbled upon this hilarious yoga game and knew my students would love it! The cards were easy to follow and the kids couldn’t stop laughing at the inflatable goat 😂. I found it at World Market for anyone who wants to try it.

I think I’ll buy a few more goat toys so the kids can get into small groups and play against each other. This way they get more rounds in during our 30 minute class.

It’s official… I’m BACK from maternity leave! I cannot thank @alliwest5 enough for keeping all the kiddos in good hands while I got to spend time with my little one 🥰. It feels SO good to be teaching again and I missed everyone so much. by @ockidsyoga

O BOY 💙! I’m signing off September with my last kids yoga class before I officially start my maternity leave. I’m grateful for a body that has taken me to 38 weeks with no signs of slowing down as I jumped, danced and did hours of yoga and P.E. with the kids each day. I simply love what I do and as much as I look forward to my mom journey, I already can’t wait to be back in January to be with all my #miniyogis again. They’ll be in great hands with Ms. Alli while I’m away 🙂. by @ockidsyoga

When yoga makes you feel so much joy! by @ockidsyoga

Here’s a fun game I call “Beanie Baby Balance”. If you were a 90s kid, it’s time to bust out that old bag of beanie babies 😂. The kids LOVE it. Not only because they’re cute but they’re perfect to use for balancing because it has just enough weight to it.

HOW TO PLAY:
•Let the students pick out which beanie baby they want to work with
•Choose 6-8 poses from the yoga deck
•Have a student pick a card and where they want everyone to balance the beanie baby!

Get creative! Balancing doesn’t always have to be on your head. Maybe try balancing it on your shoulder, back, knee, or hands.

Hope you give it a try! by @ockidsyoga
