POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Still pinching myself over this 🥹🌊🌺

Getting to interview @therock and gifting him a beautiful lei made by @ocleilover at the 'Moana: Voices Across the Ocean' listening party is a moment I’ll never forget.

It means so much to celebrate an album that uplifts and honors the incredible voices, stories, and artistry of Polynesian and Pasifika communities. Being in that room was such a special reminder of the power of representation and culture, something I will always dedicate my work towards.

So grateful to @disneymusic & @reactmedia for inviting me to be part of this unforgettable celebration. Thank you for trusting me with moments like these 🤍✨ taken in Los Angeles, California by @ocleilover

Plumeria Seedpod on Kauka wilder🔥. I’ve waited over 15 years for this tree to gift me a seedpod. Im so Excited to see what the seedlings will look like .
Fun facts🌸

🌸How does it get pollinated?
It was pollinated possibly by a sphinx moth I saw several in my yard this season , or another insect. The seedpod will take about 9 months for the pod and seeds to mature before the pod opens up! So the pod should be protected with a net of some sort so when it opens you don’t loose the seeds, they are very light and can easily drift away ✨Do not cut off the seedpod leave it on the tree to mature .

🌸Will my seeds look like the mother tree?!
Plumeria seeds have their own DNA so that means it will not look exactly like the mother tree! Like my Kauka Wilder..It Could be similiar , most likely completely different, producing yellow , white flowers, red etc , a different scent or petal shape even growth habit could be different . The only way to get the exact flower is to get a cutting of the mother tree and root it.

🌸How long will it take to get my blooms ?
The seedlings need to bloom, it can take several years before it blooms , then we need to wait for it to bloom two more times different seasons . On the third season that bloom will be its final color and shape🎉
It’s requires alot of patience and care for several years before you know what your final flower will look like and it will be all yours ❤️🙌🏽

🌸Teaches us patience!
I have waited, almost 8 years for my big tree Lani Beauty seedlings to bloom, the seedlings look very healthy some have very dark leaves with very dark trunks so I’m assuming it’s gonna be a very dark flower. Some of them are shorter with wider trunks with light green leaves so they’re all different. They all have their own DNA . Maybe next year will be the year 2027 that I will get my very first bloom then I’ll need to wait two more cycles two more seasons to get my final seedlings color 🌸🙌🏽✨.

🌸What does the inside of a seedpod look like ?
In the last photo you will see them stacked perfectly inside a open mature pod from my Lani Beauty tree, ready to be removed and germinated 🌱.

Such a pleasure to meet up with my friend in Maui @pukalani_floral . We were able to gift her this beautiful Resin creation shaped like Maui with a blue glowing heart symbolizing Pukalani created by Vanessa from @islandgirlwear our gratitude . I made a lei using plumeria and Crown Flowers shipped from Pukalani farm to the mainland during our graduation seasons few years ago. She was very supportive shipping us leimakers flowers to help us fulfill the request for plumerias when they were not in season here. She is no longer shipping flowers here.

It’s been four years. Since she visited so it was my turn to visit we were so happy to see each other🌺🏝️

I forged and designed this Leipo’o for her as many of you know I love to create when I travel and gift what I make especially this time to this beautiful soul🌺

Thank you, Vanessa @islandgirlwear for this beautiful creation, I also appreciate the beautiful Resin floral pieces that you made for both of my daughter-in-law‘s restoring their beautiful wedding flowers forever.
You are always a pleasure to work with very reliable and sharing the work in progress along the way and it shows in your beautiful art the love you put in and you truly care ❤️thank you so much.
If your looking for Resin creations she is the one…

I’m grateful for our friendship we have .🌺
