Welcome, Brad Stracke ⛳️

OC AD Wayne Baker says “The tradition & excellence of Odessa College golf is outstanding, & well recognized throughout the golf world. OC is very fortunate to hire a coach that has the experience to continue this tradition. Not only does Coach Stracke have his own NJCAA National Championship from Indian Hills CC, I feel very confident that Coach Stracke will lead Odessa College to our tenth NJCAA national title in his tenure at OC. Coach Stracke has the knowledge & background to take both our Men’s & Women’s student-athletes to the next level in their golf journey. I am excited about the future of Odessa College golf. “

“I would like to thank Dr. Williams & the Administration for giving me the opportunity to lead the men’s & women’s programs at Odessa College. The Wranglers have an unmatched tradition in all of their sports that I am excited to be a part of that” said Stracke.

At UNT, Stracke won 3 conference titles & 5 NCAA Regionals. He coached 3 Olympians including PGA tour winners Carlos Ortiz & Sebastian Munoz. In all but 3 of his seasons at UNT, he coached at least 1 individual to the NCAA regionals & sent the entire team to regionals five times, while also sending 3 individuals to the tournament in 2017.

He coached 4 individual conference champions, 23 All-Conference selections, 1 All-American, 9 Academic All-Americans, and 4 Golf Coaches Association of America All-Academic Teams. Stracke was selected twice as conference Coach of the Year.

Stracke spent 3 seasons as an assistant coach at the University of Florida & was the head coach at Indian Hills Community College for 9 seasons, during which he won a NJCAA national title in 2000. At Florida, Stracke helped guide the Gators to 3 straight NCAA championships, with a 2nd place finish in 2006. He also coached 4 PGA Tour players, 6 All-Americans, 8 All-Southeastern Conference players & a Walker Cup player. He coached 21 All-Americans at Indian Hills & led the program to its first national title and no. 1 ranking. taken in Odessa, Texas by @ocwranglergolf

Wrangler Nation you better stay on your feet! It’s not a total #MayRecap until we give Miss Nami her well deserved moment in the spotlight! As legendary as it gets. After smashing every record there was to smash at OC, Nami wasn’t done making history. Post season was yet another opportunity for her to write her name in the history books. Nami finished the national tournament - FOUR rounds of golf, with an astonishing score of NINE under. Nami is an incredibly talented young athlete who is eager to showcase her driven competitiveness at any chance she can get. Nami IS THE NJCAA Div. 1 Women’s Golf National Champion. Best part is Wrangler Nation, she’ll be back for year two😎🙌👍 Congratulations on such an insanely, successful, and truly never before seen season of golfing Napajira, we are so excited to see what you accomplish next season❤️#️⃣1️⃣✅💯 by @ocwranglergolf

In other recent Wrangler news, Adam Bresnu (@adambresnu) was the recipient of the Jack Nicklaus Award - this recognition honors Adam as the Player of the Year, as he finished his competitive season as the top ranked NJCAA player, being the only player in the division with an average score below 70. Well deserved recognition Adam, congratulations. #THEAdamBresnu #NJCAA #njcaagolf #ocwranglers #legend by @ocwranglergolf
