29 years ago today, Oddball opened its doors.

What started as a crazy, unconventional idea has grown into something we never could have imagined.

We knew what it was like to struggle to find shoes that fit because we lived it ourselves. We figured there had to be other people out there who felt the same way.

Twenty-nine years later, we’re still here because of an incredible community of customers, employees, vendors, friends, and family who believed in that idea.

Thank you for believing in Oddball and for proving that sometimes the best ideas are the ones everyone else overlooks.

Always working to track down the best assortment possible for all of us Oddballs. Constantly fighting to bring the best selection of large size shoes to y’all . When these Nike Air Max 95’s landed on our radar we scooped up as many pairs as possible . You guys seem to really love them as they are flying off the shelves . Already working to find more . VOICES FROM OREGON: Small businesses shouldn’t be the odd man out in Oregon.

After 28 years running @Oddballdotcom in Portland, @oddseth says it’s never been this hard to stay open — or stay safe.

Uncontrolled crime has driven up costs through break-ins and rising insurance, on top of reckless taxation that’s already putting pressure on Oregon small businesses.

It’s time to listen to the businesses at the core of our communities and make changes that protect them and strengthen Oregon’s economy.

I stopped by @oddballdotcom and talked to the owners Seth and Zac who are longtime friends of mine. Oddball opened in Portland in 1997 and they have seen some major changes to the city and state in recent years. Having the time to catch up with Seth about how they now have to keep their door locked during business hours and let people in because of how unsafe the city has gotten to their store being broken into at least 3x frustrated me. Portland and many other cities in Oregon have been feeling this same frustration and are tired of it.
