Ryan walked us through a recent 5.5-minute animated project built with a custom AI pipeline, markerless motion capture from an iPhone, and a workflow designed specifically for the problem.

The interesting part wasn’t the tech.

It was the shift.

For decades our industry has been built around mastering tools.
After Effects. Cinema 4D. Houdini. Unreal.

But what Ryan demonstrated is something different.

The creative is no longer just operating tools.

The creative is designing the system.

As execution gets faster and cheaper, the real value moves upstream:

Taste
Story
Judgment
Point of view

In other words:

Execution was never the value.
It was the vehicle.

The real divide emerging isn’t AI vs human.

It’s between:

• creatives who operate tools
• creatives who design systems

And the skill that seems to matter most right now?

Curiosity.

The willingness to experiment, remix tools, and invent workflows that didn’t exist yesterday.
