Who is better to understand this journey on a daily basis?🤔

Them, Social Media Managers!

By paying attention to this journey, you can adjust your social media plan to fit their needs at each stage, from first look to loyal followers.

They can give really helpful advice on which posts your audience likes best, which platforms they use most, and importantly, where potential customers drop off in the purchasing process.

Let’s keep moving forward! That’s the way!

Message me the word ‘ODD’ if you need someone to manage your brand to move everything forward.

Consistency alone won’t save your brand.
Because social media isn’t a posting game.

It’s applied psychology.

I noticed this years ago when reviewing client accounts.

Some brands posted daily.

Great graphics.
Trendy formats.
But conversions were unstable.

Others posted less —
but their audience trusted them deeply.

The difference wasn’t frequency.
It was behavioral sequencing.

When someone discovers your brand, they don’t think:
“Should I buy?”

They think:
- Who is this?
- Are they credible?
- Do they understand my problem?
- Do others trust them?
- Does this feel safe?

Your content either reduces anxiety —
 or increases it.

Confusion increases cognitive load.
Inconsistency increases doubt.
Hard selling increases resistance.

But clarity?
Clarity lowers defense.

Repetition?
It builds familiarity.

And familiarity is one of the strongest psychological drivers of trust.

This is why random content fails.

Because psychology requires progression.

Awareness → Understanding → Validation → Comparison → Commitment.

If you skip steps, your audience doesn’t move forward.
They stall.

Social media marketing isn’t just distribution.
It’s belief engineering.

✓ You’re shaping perception before someone ever books a call.
✓ You’re creating psychological safety before someone ever pays.

Again, it’s applied psychology.

Not gonna lie, it’s NOT gonna last. 😬 (Swipe to read multiple captions)

1. Posting Without Direction - You can be consistent for months and still have no idea what you want people to remember you for.

2. Jumping on Trends - not every trend is for your brand. Just because everyone’s doing it doesn’t mean your audience cares about it.

3. Brand vs. Personal Branding - having a brand and building a personal brand aren’t exactly the same thing. You can have a logo, colors, and a beautiful profile. But what do people actually know you for?

4. Making Everything About You - Your stories and experiences matter, but can your audience see themselves in what you’re sharing?

5. Hiring an SMM - hiring a social media manager won’t help much if you’re still doing all the thinking. You wanted someone to manage your socials, not another person you need to manage.

6. Letting AI Think for You - AI can create your content. But it doesn’t have your experience. If you’re giving it nothing but generic prompts, don’t be surprised when your content sounds like everyone else’s.

7. Chasing Viral Content - 100K views sounds exciting. But who are those people watching? Are they even the people you want to reach?

8. Changing Your Messaging - Sometimes, you don’t need a new message. You need to give your existing one more time.

9. Copying Other Creators - what worked for another creator might not work for you. Different audience. Different positioning. Different goals.

10. Posting vs. Building Relationships - If you’re posting every day but never talking to anyone, you’re missing half of what makes it social.

You can actually get leads and sell through your Instagram or Facebook Stories, btw.

One of the most overlooked ways to market your business.

And no, it's not just reposting your promotional content and adding a link.

Been doing this for my clients for years.

One tip: learn to warm up your audience before selling.

Talk about things they can relate to, make them curious, and give them a reason to engage with you.

Because people don't always open Stories ready to buy.

Sometimes, you need to start a conversation before introducing what you're selling.

And here's what most businesses miss:

People might be watching your Stories every day, but are you giving them a reason to message you?

How many conversations are you missing?

So what exactly did you delegate?

You hired a social media manager to take social media off your plate.

But somehow, you're still the one managing everything.

You're thinking of what to post.
You're providing all the ideas.
You're reminding them about deadlines.
You're checking every piece of content.
And you're still figuring out why nothing is working.

I've seen this happen with businesses that have someone creating content but no clear strategy or process behind it.

Your social media manager needs your input, especially when they're learning your business.

But there's a difference between being involved in your brand and having to manage every single part of it.

Your job is to share your expertise, communicate your goals, and make key decisions.

Not spend your evenings figuring out what caption to post tomorrow.

A good social media management process should give you fewer things to worry about, not another list of tasks to finish.

Because if you're still doing all the thinking, planning, and managing…

You haven't really delegated your social media.

You've just added another person to manage.

And if this sounds familiar, you know where to go, DM. by @oddsocial_

I've been building brands for clients and myself for 6 years, and one thing I've learned is that building a personal brand goes beyond just creating content.

It's about what people remember you for, how they recognize your thinking, and why they should trust you.

And trust me, you don't need to figure everything out before you start.

Here are 5 things I wish I knew sooner. by @oddsocial_
