Exactly one month ago we sold out the House of Blues in Anaheim and we did it our way. Moments like this can’t be taken for granted. As an AAPI artist it was truly a proud moment to see all our people in the crowd that night enjoying themselves. When we first decided to take on the challenge we immediately felt the pressure to deliver. It wasn’t easy but I think it was the pressure itself that brought the best out of all of us. It showed us we can rise to the occasion and do anything we put our minds and hearts to. It took a village so I want to thank @awwfilms & @islandblockradio for the immense opportunity. I want to thank @oddyss & @kahoykollection for their contributions and belief in us. Thank you to all the performers who blessed the stage @jessicaadomingo @thedayvidthomas @ninasosefina @darius.jakob y’all were amazing 🌟. Thank you to my music director @boo1ur and creative director @iamdavidaure for the hard work getting me prepared. And MOST importantly thank you to all the fans and supporters who came thru to make it an unforgettable night.

When you really think about it all we really have in this life are moments. In the scale of time & space itself we are merely a speck in the history of the universe. Our entire life is technically just a “moment” in the history of the cosmos. This year I went through a lot of hardship but through the tough times I was constantly tested and forced to grow as a human being. I feel like in my past I was always so focused on the destination that it took away my ability to be present and live in the moment. I would experience constant anxiety about “what’s next?”
And also being very self critical of my own performance. I was also so focused on the next move that it caused me to feel extremely low the day after the house of blues show. To be honest it took me a solid 2 days to even realize what had just happened and appreciate it for what it was. A victory. I realized that in that moment I was not practicing what I preach. To simply be “present” is something I struggle with on a day to day basis. On New Year’s Eve I finally went through about 250 phone videos sent from various family members, supporters and fans. It made me realize how special that moment really was. Then I saw my family on New Year’s Eve and when they expressed how proud they were it really put everything into perspective right in time for the new year. Something I want to conquer in 2024 is being more “present” and appreciating special moments. Because in the end it’s all we really got. The present time. This is not a “poor me” post or sob story of any kind. This is just a reminder to anyone who cares to always be present. You will never get this exact moment you’re living in ever again. So cherish it and hold it tight. It’s all you got. Thank you to @awwfilms @islandblockradio @oddyss @kahoykollection , my family, my entire team, everyone who sent me videos from that night, everyone who has helped me along my journey and everyone who supports me. I got love for you and always will. 2024 I promise to make y’all proud and I got some special things in the works coming soon. It’s love always. It’s gratitude always. Keep living for those moments.
