The 80 year-old historic Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada House, in Henderson's Downtown Park, which opened for local Girl Scouts in 1943, currently under demolition order. It's a building that has been used by generations of troops, and the handprint goodbyes of evicted scouts making way for 'redevelopment'. The first demolition date, Sept. 17, came and went.

Hard Rock Las Vegas Guitar Room Tower exterior is finished, work continues inside and on a Las Vegas Blvd.-fronted parking garage. Scheduled opening is late 2027. The strings will be high powered lights projected straight up at night, similar to that emanating from the top of the Luxor.

The 2025 National Finals Rodeo (NFR) Gold Carpet welcome event took place December 2, 2025, at the South Point Hotel & Casino, near the Benny Binion statue. American, State of Nevada and Clark County flags fly half-staff for Dolly Parton outside of City of Las Vegas Government City Hall, downtown. 'Islands In The Stream', with Kenny Rogers, written by Barry Gibb.

This is a 1987 TV commercial for the Golden Nugget Las Vegas, featuring then-Nugget owner Steve Wynn and Dolly. It was completely ad-libbed, done in one take and shot in a hotel room. Dolly saw a commercial Wynn had done with Frank Sinatra and wanted to do one of the same. She played the Nugget's showroom regularly in the late 1980s:

The remains of the Lucky #Motel, 1111 Fremont St., Las Vegas- not much left other than its filled-in pool.

The 28-unit, U-shaped motel was built by brothers J.T. and Al Franklin, completed October 1951. A front pool was added in ‘57. Franklin bros also helped to build the shopping center across the street (1100-1126 Fremont) in the mid 50s. It's glory days were the early 1960s, the same era during which the Rat Pack, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin & Sammy Davis Jr., along with other friends who happened to be in town, took the stage regularly at the Sands Hotel & Casino. This is 'Birth Of The Blues', 1965, with a comedy cameo from Johnny Carson.

The Franklins sold the motel to Roy Williams in ’1961; Williams sold to Allen & Dolly Zender in ’74; the motel changed hands several other times, and was last sold in 2013 to the late Tony Hsieh's Downtown Project (DTPLV) which closed and boarded up the property.

The motel’s neon sign is original. It was bought by the City of Las Vegas and returned to the closed motel in 2020.

By 2020, the property was neglected and overrun by squatters. The west section of the motel was hit by fire on New Years Eve, 2024, and it was demolished in 2026.
