Our Tradish Kluane territory in the Yukon this past May. I was participating in our Women's Camp where I was filming, playing, and learning with all of the women in our small community. We received teachings from our Elders, created new songs, and strengthened the bonds between us across cultures. It was truly uplifting and affirming! The good news is that we don't have to be from a village to do this. We can create community where ever we live, and that is our power. Reach out to your neighbours, and be willing to be uncomfortable. We always have more to offer than we think! ❤❤❤❤❤❤

I enjoyed the eclipse the other night. Such a beautiful moment when the moon disappeared for a few moments and then illuminated once again. So I’ve been alive for soooooo long! Isn’t it a that amazing?! A whole half century! Sometimes I get squeamish about telling people how old I am, but for the most part I am proud to have made it this far. Life is full of so many challenges, obstacles and heartbreak, but it is also filled beauty, laughter and joy 💜🦋🌈 I am so blessed to know you all and I am grateful for your presence and contributions to this crazy world. As you can see, I had a tiring day taking photos of beautiful blossoms! There is a mosque in our neighbourhood and it is currently surrounded with delicate sakura, so perfect! I am compelled to take photos of the blossoms every year, my Springtime ritual. 🌸🌸🌸

Evening strolls in my neighbourhood, best when accompanied by family! It’s nice to share the place where I’ve made my home these many (oh, so many) years. It’s interesting to contemplate the meaning of Home, and how that shifts over a lifetime. What does Home mean to you? Can we ever go Home? Is Home only right now?
