When good friends feel that you’re at your lowest, they don’t wait for you to ask.
They reach out. They make time, even when their own lives are busy.

Sometimes, they simply ask you if you wanna just ride, with nowhere in particular to go. And somehow, along the way, you realize there’s a place you want to visit. A place filled with good memories… from our college days, our kids’ birthday parties, and countless commercial shoots.

Another friend simply asked me to come to an evening event, where I unexpectedly found myself surrounded by old friends and familiar faces.

These may seem like simple moments, but lately, I’ve realized they are priceless.

They reminded me that even at my lowest, I am not alone.

True friends are the ones who don’t just stand beside you when you’re strong.
They reach for you when you’re falling, pull you back up when you’re at your lowest, and quietly remind you that there is still so much life ahead.

Sometimes, moving forward doesn’t begin with finding the strength within yourself.

Sometimes, it begins with a friend who simply shows up. 🙏🏾

Thank you for the ride @ryan_agoncillo

Another reminder from #facebook
Exactly 3 years ago today.

Losing someone
you have always thanked God for blessing you with
is perhaps the deepest test of faith.

A test of trust,
to believe in His plan
when your heart cannot understand it.

A test of surrender,
to let go of the one
you prayed so hard to keep.

And perhaps,
an awakening of the soul,
to realize that some blessings
are not meant to stay forever,
but to change us forever.

So I will keep thanking God
for the years, the love,
the memories, and the grace.

Because even in losing her,
I was blessed to have loved her.

And now,
I trust that the same God
who brought her into my life
will guide my soul
through learning how to live
with her no longer beside me.

Thank you for this reminder facebook.
Thank you for having you with me in this lifetime Sunshine.

My high school classmate.
My college girlfriend.
My best friend.
Mother of my kids.
My wife.

I miss the days when I would ride my bike to your house, play badminton in front of the church, and eat fish balls with you.

Driving from CEU Malacañang to fetch you from Miriam and bring you safely home every day.

Getting married, raising our kids, and building a simple, comfortable life together without fear of the future.

God gave me everything I needed: you, our children, our work, and countless blessings.

Now that you’re in spirit, I understand why we started our life together early and cherished every moment coming home to each other, sleeping beside our kids, homeschooling and enrolling, them to learn all the skills they need, and spending as much time together as possible.

I’m so grateful we did all of that.

In 2021, you were diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer and given six months. I cried in the restroom but never showed you. I walked out positive, telling you that together, we could do this.

And we did.

Jump to 2026.

After countless chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, oral chemotherapy, scans, and many procedures, we eventually ran out of options. When the oncologist said there was nothing more they could do except consider palliative care, my heart broke.

For the first time, I showed you my fear of losing you. I felt like I was losing my purpose and wanted to go wherever you were going.

But you told me I could finally focus on my purpose and do what I needed to do for our kids.

You were never holding me back. You were my inspiration and one of the biggest reasons I became who I am today.

I will grieve peacefully, continue our dreams with our children, and live a life worthy of becoming an Angel like you. I know you are guiding me, and someday, we will be together again.

In our next life, I will find you.

Until we meet again, my love.

Happy 28th wedding anniversary.

I love you. ❤️🙏🏾 by @odysseyflores

The metaphor of this album cover feels almost too fitting for “Naked Eyes.”

When I’m alone, without my sunglasses, there’s nowhere to hide from what I see and what I feel.

Just me, with my eyes uncovered,
and my Sunshine beside me in spirit.
No distractions. No pretenses.
Just love, in its most naked form.

The happy beat, the rhythm, the melody,
yet somehow, the saddest lyrics describe exactly how I feel right now.

A strange kind of heartbreak
when the music sounds alive,
but your soul is quietly mourning.

Haaaaaay Lord why me????? 🥹💔 by @odysseyflores

Thank you for another lovely evening with our families and friends who came to visit, spend time with us, and pray for my love, Sunshine. ❤️🙏🏾

Your presence, prayers, and love mean more to us than words can ever express. You made this evening a beautiful one for Sunshine, and I’m deeply grateful. ❤️

Later will be Sunshine’s final day with us before we lay her to rest.

We’ll have an 11:00 AM Mass, followed by her inurnment afterward.

If you can, we would truly love to have you there to be with us, say one last goodbye, and celebrate the beautiful life Sunshine shared with all of us.

Hope you guys can make it.

Love you all ❤️🙏🏾 by @odysseyflores

Thank you, Facebook, for reminding me of this beautiful moment 8 years ago today.

Little did we know that just three years later, she would be diagnosed with advanced stage ovarian cancer.

Looking back at this moment now, it carries a completely different weight. And to this day, this music still perfectly describes how I feel about my wife my love for her, our journey, and everything we’ve been through together. ❤️ by @odysseyflores

This song by our friend @ebedancel "tulog na" became my lullaby for Sunshine in the hospital.
Practicing for the first time during one of her procedures while waiting.

Now with a heart completely broken, I share with all of you that Sunshine left us today at 12:45 am.

After everything she fought through since 2021, her journey has finally come to an end. She fought with so much courage, strength, and grace.

My Sunshine is finally free from pain.

Thank you to everyone who prayed for her, loved her, stood by us, and carried us through this journey. Your love meant more to us than words could ever express.

Rest peacefully, my Sunshine.
You gave me a lifetime of love.
I will carry you with me for the rest of mine.

I love you. Always. ❤️ by @odysseyflores

$"Gift of life" for Energizer Such a beautiful concept one I wish we could all embrace as human beings: giving the one we love “life,” literally. And perhaps that is why this story touches me so deeply. Because I know what it means to be given life by someone not just in the metaphorical sense, but in reality. She "Sunshine" gave me life in so many ways. And now, all I can hope is that the love I give her can somehow give a little life back.
