Fun little grid lesson today with @edb_eventing !! Haven’t done these in a year and thought we’d be rusty, but of course he proves me wrong

The best time cross country schooling after over a year off 🙈. Four years of loving this horse endlessly, forever and always 💙💙.

Words can not describe the impact Bennett Farm has had on my life. Four and a half years ago, 14 year old me came to Abby as a timid little rider. Within that same year, we found Romeo. He came to Massachusetts off of a big job, and adjusting to my riding and doing minimal cross rails wasn’t easy for him. Throughout it all, Abby stuck by my side and reassured me it would all work out while simultaneously loving Romeo like a horse of her own. Of course, my family and I put all of our trust in her magical work. Abby lit a fire within me that no other trainer has been able to find. She built my confidence, taught me the importance of the basics, and has showed me the ins and outs of horsemanship. To that I am eternally grateful. Riding with Abby is never boring. She’s more than just a trainer, she’s my second mom. To twinning belts, matching cars, or building a famous blacked out cross country outfit just because Abby told me it looked good on Romeo once, I constantly find myself trying to find a piece of Abby in me and my riding. Her faith in me and my riding has me driven to win. Winning isn’t just the blue ribbon, it’s doing better. A better center line in our dressage test, better distances in stadium, a better rhythm on cross country (we all know I’m still working on that). Moving away and leaving Bennett Farm will be harder than any buck I’ve sat, or any fall I’ve had. This place will always be home to Romeo and I.

To Maggie, Carolyn, and Jess (+ their kids), I’ll forever be your cheerleaders. Even if it’s from 18 hours away, I can’t wait to see what you guys achieve. Romeo and Izzy will be back to their scheduled programming of removing fly masks and itching each other’s withers quite soon.

I love you guys so much!!

The absolute BEST way to end our summer up in Mass!! His recovery was (and still is) slow, and took lots and lots of time and patience, but in the end it’s worth it!! Romeo’s feeling back and better than ever! Only 11 days until he’s off to Auburn 💙🧡 WAR EAGLE!

A pony so special he deserves his own reel! If you know me you know Izzy was the horse that helped rebuild my confidence and grow as a jumper before buying Romeo. Today was the first time I sat on him in almost four years. Thank you @maggieroserobinson for lending me your goodest thoroughbred for a quick ride!

Someone tell my ponytail to relax. Our first two attempts at the new novice test! Canter circles in the middle will always be the bane of his existence but we like it! Lots of things to work on going into the spring ⏱️ (it’s snowing 6 in this weekend…)

A little late, but that’s a wrap on 2025. It was full of ups and downs, successes, failures, wins, and lots of learning. I’m lucky enough to say we didn’t lose anything. That’s doesn’t mean we won every show, it means we learned from every experience, which is the biggest win. I was lucky to get to show with a friend I haven’t seen in years, to grow friendships through @area1youngriders virtual team and just at shows in general, and most of all, I got to bring my best friend along with my learning journey. It’s bittersweet, the fact that this is my last full year at Bennett farm. This barn family found Romeo for me, and helped develop us into the team we are now. Here’s to one last full season 🥹!

I of course couldn’t have done this year without the best trainer @abbyrolston , and the most supportive parents @moniqueav and @scootavila for making this all happen. taken in Bennett Farm by @oea.eventing
