founders talk: it’s been a bit quiet here lately I know. But behind the scenes a lot has shifted. While building up a real Ørth team of which I (Jana) couldn’t be more excited about we also decided to position Ørth a bit more niche: we’re excited to be building especially for SLOWMADS (slow nomads) now.

I think slowmads are really inspiring cause they don’t rush from place to place but want to connect more deeply with places & people. And in this deeper connection is so much magic to be found.

We want to build for the builders, for the dreamers, the connectors, the intentional travelers who share one pain point on their journey: loneliness. Cause meeting many people around the world can still leave us lonely in the end when we lack the ability/possibilty to connect with them on a deeper level.

We want to connect the right people with each other, the people who get it, the ones who are seeking for their personal supporters, believers & cheerleaders.

…and let these connections create some magic ✨

I named my startup after a letter that doesn’t exist in my language (german).

A couple years back I studied one semester in Oslo, Norway and took a crash course in Norwegian.

A solo trip to Copenhagen then reminded me of this letter… and suddenly everything came together.

I found one of my best travelbuddies in a facebook group.

Before boarding the plane in Germany we were strangers, who only had a couple FaceTime calls with each other. Once we landed in Mexico we already knew a lot about each other. And 3 weeks later we flew back home as friends.

We had such a great time that we already planned the next trip together before this one ended.

Would you travel with someone you never met before or would you rather go solo or with friends?
