As we all know SNAP will be cut this coming weekend and so many will be going without; here in rural wny we dont have the same access to community fridges or community initiatives like our friends in more populated areas, there are a lot of folks who go without and no one should ever, ever have to worry about nourishing themselves or their families.

Ill be dedicating time this season to fill up my farm stand, my local blessing box and wherever else I can with "meals in a bag" All in one ready to go meals that are hearty, nourishing, easy to make; because its stressful enough to be living with less, ease can provide a bit of relief.

Beyond the meals in a bag I am also aiming to get allergy friendly foods and foods that are less likely to be donated (gf foods, snacks, treats) because again being poor is a consequence of a sick society not a reflection any one person, and everyone deserves food they can enjoy!

This weekend my kids and my mom are going to join me in stocking up the stand, we are a family who receives snap and we are fortunate enough to have help if ever we need, my kids have never had to go without, and no one ever should, child or adult.

Every donation will be put in to stocking our stand and local blessing box, Ill be sure to post so you can see where your mutual aid is going.

No one is coming to save us, we save us.

We need each other, so desperately.

Later in the month to celebrate my 40th birthday ill be gathering up with friends to make freezer meals to distribute as well, so if you cant help now thats ok!

Life is alive and god is real.

Watched the gardens through a whole other year, left the spaces I was being exploited and began anew, ego death identity crisis, boxes packed, grief river, love ocean, big beets, big heaps, armfuls, hands full, baskets and buckets full. Every kind of thing September can bring. Boot knockin and two steppin, sunflower, cosmo, daikon, watermelon. FIres burning in the new season. Lost in the woods, on purpose, I never want to leave. Big deaths, little deaths, god is a woman. Devotion devotion devotion.

If one thing is keeping me from losing myself in this season of change it is the power of possibility, of awakening dreams, of answered prayers so surprising, of mystery.

And dont under estimate the power of talking to the trees, dancing, and singing and opening your heart up wide.

⏳️🕸𝔄𝔲𝔤𝔲𝔰𝔱 𝔵 𝔏ú𝔫𝔞𝔰𝔞 🕸⏳️
Came in hot and heavy with sun beam and pouring rain, first irish festival complete as part of the team, rolled ahead with full steam...blackberries and tomatoes ripening, sunflower heads unfurling. The gardens get so gracious in August, when the harvest time really gets going, all the pollinators become so vibrant and busy, bees and hummingbirds, wasps and butterflies, buzzing, fluttering, such a quickening as the light at sunrise creeps in slowly, later each day, moving toward change.
It was three blinks before September came, really.
But everything was so full, so alive.
Saw a lot of houses, dreamt of new, metamorphosis life. Grieved what will be left behind, left just a dream. Swimming in so many new landscapes...Intertwined limbs and hearts in our eyes. Tried to fill up the mason jars with every last drop high summer gives freely, like a wasp starving for ever lasting succharine treats, chasing the sun down each night. Xo by @of.dreamland

✨️🌀🫐 July🫐🌀✨️
The big, ripe, juicy mystery full as the bushes of blueberries that fed my family, our friends, birds of many kinds. Everything shifting into the surprise of the unseen. Grief and praise, grief and praise, grief and god damned praise, always. So much is suspended in the air of change, I dont know where Im going, the land is giving, giving, giving and I am open to receiving. Even in the heart expanding free fall surrender of unknowing there are surprises that keep us all sustained. New seasons of reality I couldn't have dreamed budding, blossoming, becoming, sweeping me off my feet. Life line friendships deepening, sweet as berries ripe, seeing each other through another high season of smoke, sun, and rain. Our babies and lives growing, we sit back and soak it in and marvel at the psychedelic change. July came and went full, full, full, fast and quickening. I savored, cherished, worshipped whatever fleeting joy I could as time swam away swiftly in the turning tide. by @of.dreamland

June 🍓🌝

Quickest month yet, filled with changing seasons, celebrations, conflict, consciousness of desire, so much rain, leaking roof, failed projects, clarity and confusion.

My oldest son graduated highschool while my youngest entered his last year of preteen and moved up to 7th grade. Seasons are so swift these babies are growing faster than any weed I ever did see. How lucky, how wild, how beautiful and grief filled and everything in between.

June was hard and fast and there wasnt any room for play, rest, the sort of joy that makes you feel free, it showed me very clearly what I do and do not want moving forward with me, it left me with a lot of questions to consider as summer blossoms and fruits lusciously.

I planted hundreds if not thousands of seeds, dirt stained and sweat salted skin most of the time, I felt a lot of feelings, all of em, swirling and melting.

I used irish every day, I completed my first set of céili classes and continued volunteering for the festival even if time felt insane. I kept up with my work out routines and nourished my body best I could. Im trying trying trying.

I slept with sweet peas or fresh roses at my bedside almost every night, remembering what rich means to me.

I noticed how much i missed my friends, dreaming, believing in possibility, in having my own time and spaciousness to be creative for me. Thats clarity. The moon is illuminating what inside me is begging to be seen and held and considered and cared after, and I hope it holds you all sweet as a summer grown strawberry 🍓

Blueberries are turning, sunflowers are sprouting, pepper flowers opened wide and peas are pouring from the sky it seems, there is abundance undoubtedly and aren't we lucky by @of.dreamland

May was so swift I barely knew it.

Blueberries are fattening up, Iris are heavy, Ive been so taken by the season I pray for more opportunities to play and slow time a bit.

Highlights of May: céili dancing, papa turning 88, oldest son performing his last highschool concert, youngest son shadowing at a local school, walking willow on her favorite beach, getting hands in the dirt, building new gardens, seeing fox, heron, monarch, catbird, oriole, fawn, deer mouse, chipmunks, milk snake, owl calls, smoke bush, food pantry staying full, ring of salt. by @of.dreamland

This weekend was sweet as honey 🍯 🐝 🌸
Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our flash event, contributed to the fundraising efforts, filled our raffle baskets, cheered us on, helped with content and spread the word! We plan on coming back this fall to do it all again!

We were able to donate money to @jfmfofwny and share with *2* community food pantries! And we are proud of that! We need each other and putting efforts towards one another always always always matters ❤️
