Video Work Archive Box Series #01

Inspired by the way film negatives and photographic prints are physically processed and archived, I created this box as a physical archive of the video work, bringing together materials from its making and presentation. The CD contains the voice of dancer Jeongyeon Shim from the video, accompanied by the script created for the work.

Contains: 3 × 5” print, CD, photo book, script, approx. A2-size poster

Girlhood ‘Coming of Age’

“To uri, ‘I’ and ‘we’ do not form a clear binary. The dichotomy never quite holds. Our identities are porous, mutually exchanged, and deeply entangled. As a Korean, in many ways, I is uri. And so, to answer that first question: If I were to define girlhood in Korean, I’d call it something like uri-hood.”
