An EFG London Jazz Festival debut for the Irish genre-bending 7-piece. Expect high energy from the trio of vocalists backed by big brass and dancey beats as they blend house, funk, soul, and hip-hop together with an informed Jazz sensibility.

Cooks But We’re Chefs are a 7-piece band hailing from Ireland. Their genre-bending approach knits together influences from house, funk, soul, and hip-hop with an informed Jazz sensibility. Making waves in the thriving domestic Irish scene, they've become a staple on the Irish Festival circuit, with shows well-received at Electric Picnic, Other Voices, All Together Now, and the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival. Had to let the dust settle on our last party because honestly we’re a bit lost for words - what a special evening!

Thanks again to the amazing artists @biggus.phillus @lazyy.h @cooks.but.were.chefs who all absolutely killed it.

These things take a huge amount of work to put together, so sincere appreciation to everyone who came and supported it and of course all the friends who helped make it happen!

Sorry to those who couldn’t get tickets but we’re planning something again in the not too distant future - so don’t sleep, keep an eye out! 💚🎷☘️

A chance encounter at an Offjazz party, an exchange of ideas, a shared love for Irish music culture and a voicemail looking for London link ups - 12 months later we’re buzzing to be programming something for the EFG London Jazz Festival.
