Anything for the frisbee 🤪
I had an telemed appointment with my doctor to change my seizure meds around since the increase in seizures and my GERD has been causing me to vomit and aspirate.. which isn’t good.. but also she’s writing an approval letter for my insurance for a rollator! So.. any tips to train a good heel or really train anything around that sort of equipment is much appreciated! I’m not used to that sort of bulk but I’m sure it’ll help me be more active and have a place to rest more conveniently without worrying about falling over 😮‍💨 by @off_duty_k9s

Thank you Deputy Graser and MH Co-Responder Edie from @jeffcosheriffco for saying hi to SDiT BANG! today! It’s always a great opportunity for her to meet and have positive experiences with first responders that she may encounter while working in public! She also loves to show off her training 😉 by @off_duty_k9s

Bang did a fastcat fun run today! She was pretty distracted and got an 8.57! I think this is an activity she’ll enjoy. by @off_duty_k9s

Guess who got her first pair of @rexspecsk9 goggles! She’s willingly putting her face in them and is starting to wear them for a short period of time. She also looks very snazzy in Trigger’s old vest 🥹 by @off_duty_k9s

Took BANG to Scheels today, worked on unders, pressing buttons, “happy”, and distraction training around food, kids and dogs. Met another lovely SD team too! I’m very happy with her behavior today, she can be a little rude and will pop up to try and say hi to other dogs, but we’re working on it :) so far so good. It’s completely my fault for not working with her for a while, so she’s not as far in her training as I’d like her to be, but she’s acceptable in public and will slowly be doing more public outings. by @off_duty_k9s

Did a quick little training trip in Lowe’s. Miss Bang has been out of it a little, I think she’s still adjusting to her hormones after her heat. We finally found a food that all the dogs do good on, so I’m super happy about that :) by @off_duty_k9s

Trigger passed away in 2024, he was my heart dog, my partner and my everything. He was the first dog I ever completely trained myself, my first service dog, we went through so much together. The thing I regret the most is not taking pictures of him as much as I should have. He is why Bang is called “Heir Trigger” so maybe she can live up to his reputation. by @off_duty_k9s

Had to go to the hospital early this morning :( had a migraine I couldn’t kick, but they gave me the good ol’ migraine cocktail and I was decent enough to leave after a few hours.. but guess what’s back 🤦 yep the migraine. Didn’t take Bang to the ER with me since I wasn’t sure how busy it’d be, probably could’ve.. she’s been worried about me all day. Pic of Bang for tax by @off_duty_k9s
