No words needed 🤔. What better way to spend a birthday weekend with some friends out chasing Reds. @highlife_fly_fishing and my bud KD. Matt has been one of those guides/friends that has shown me how to truly appreciate the craft and grow every time we're out. One of the highlights was poling on the skiff and getting him on a fish. 🎣 #saltwaterflyfishing #saltlifenojoke taken in Port O'Connor, Texas by @offgridvet

A HUGE THANK YOU to all my supporters, sponsors, and affiliates who have been part of this journey! 🙌❤️ Dreams really do come true, and I couldn’t have made it this far without the village standing behind me. Every bit of support, encouragement, and belief in me has meant the world.

Now it’s time to make the most of this opportunity, represent my village, and go after it with everything I’ve got! 💪🎣

The dream is real. The work is done. Now it’s time to FISH!

Snuck in a quick morning session on the Bird with my buddy @rangervince. We decided to swap our go to fishing spots My Bird trip honey holes for his Dunlap trip. I’m down! 😂

Great morning on the water with plenty of laughs, fishing, and the usual yak and electronics talk. The overcast skies had the fish fired up, and it was exactly the kind of session I needed heading into the final stretch.

Bassmaster Kayak Championship at Lake Murray is getting closer. 🎣🔥

This first year of tournament fishing has taught me more than I could have imagined. Now it’s about taking everything I’ve learned, staying disciplined, keeping the momentum rolling, and getting myself—and the rig ready for the biggest stage of the season.

Countdown is on.

What’s your ritual before you hit the water?

For me, it’s all about gearing up, checking the right gear, and making sure I’ve got the right tackle tied on to give myself every possible opportunity once I’m on the water.
That means going through the kayak, electronics, batteries, rods, reels, line and tackle and making sure everything is ready before I launch.

And when it comes to finding fish, Garmin LiveScope is a huge part of that process. Being able to see what’s happening beneath and in front of the kayak in real time helps me make better decisions There’s no magic button that catches fish. You still have to put in the work.

But when tournament day comes, I want to know I’ve done everything I can to give myself every chance.

Rig right. Tackle right. Electronics right. Mind right.

Then go fish. 🎣

10 DAYS.
That’s all that stands between me and a moment I’ve worked toward all season. In 10 days, I’ll load up, leave home, and head east to South Carolina and Lake Murray for the Bassmaster Kayak Championship.

10 months ago, I never could have imagined I’d be counting down the days to a championship.

When I started this journey, I just knew I loved being on the water, I wanted to compete, and I was willing to put in the work.

Now, looking back at this first year of kayak tournament fishing, I can honestly say it has been off the charts.

Every tournament has left me with something lessons, friendships, failures, victories, early mornings, long drives, tough decisions, and moments I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life.

I’ve learned that you can’t take any of it for granted.

The time to step up is now.

To every person who has supported me along this journey whether you gave me advice, made a phone call, sent a text, helped me find the right tackle or gear, believed in me, or simply said keep going I want you to know how much that has meant to me.

This isn’t something I got here by myself.

So as these final 10 days tick away, I’m taking a moment to appreciate the entire journey that got me here.

Then I’m going to pack the truck, load the kayak, point it east, and go do what I came here to do.

South Carolina. Lake Murray. Bassmaster Kayak Championship.

One final chapter.

Let’s go make it count. 🎣🇺🇸🔥 by @offgridvet

Sometimes you have to stop for a minute and appreciate how far a dream can take you.
For a long time, I’ve wanted to really learn the marine electronics side of kayak fishing not just using the equipment, but understanding how to properly install, rig, configure, and dial in marine electronics on a kayak. I’ve always believed that if I’m going to talk about a product or recommend it to another angler, I want to understand it from the inside out.
That mindset has pushed me to keep learning and growing. Spending time on the water with my Garmin equipment, pushing it during tournaments, working through different setups, and most recently attending Garmin Marine training has taken that knowledge to another level. That training wasn’t just about learning the equipment it was another step in my growth as an angler and in my goal of becoming more knowledgeable on the installation and rigging side of the sport.Today, I’m pretty proud to share that a big part of that dream is becoming a reality.
This one means a little more to me personally. I’ve put a lot of time and effort into learning this side of the sport, and now I get the opportunity to take that experience and help other anglers do the same.#kayakfishing #kayakrigging #kayakbassfishing #kayaking by @offgridvet

8th Place at the Championship. 🎣🏆

And just like that… another chapter comes to a close.

To finish 8th at the Championship series, surrounded by some of the best anglers in the game, is something I’m truly proud of. This season brought the highs, the lows, the pressure, the lessons, and a whole lot of memories that I’ll carry with me.

A huge congratulations to Michael Gadd on AOG incredible performance! A true Angler Sportsman who represents this sport the right way. Well deserved, brother! 👊🎣

As I close out this series, I can honestly say I’m doing it with a full heart and a full cup. Not because every tournament went exactly as planned, but because of everything this journey has given me.
The friendships.
The competition.
The lessons.
The people who believed in me and my sponsors.
The early mornings and long days on the water.
And all those little moments that remind you why you fell in love with this sport in the first place.

Those moments mean more to me than any number beside my name.

Now it’s time to slow down, take the pressure off, and get back to just having fun on the water with some great people. Fish hard, laugh a lot, enjoy the fellowship, and make some memories with my fellow anglers.

8th at this Championship series closes out this chapter, but it’s far from the end of the story.

I’m grateful for the journey, proud of the season, and excited for the next championship tourney coming in October I get to go fish with the bigs at the show more to come 😀.

My cup is full. My heart is grateful. 🎣❤️

Until the next cast… tight lines and keep pushing forward. 🤙 by @offgridvet
