Summer and Early Fall Opportunities at Office Space 2 for BIPOC Individuals and Groups:

Based out of a small, one-room office in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Office Space 2 has had the benefit and privilege of being entirely self-funded, making a substantial effort to conduct an artist-first gallery model. This means that during our short 2 years of operation, we have taken no cut from sales, covered basic exhibition necessities out-of-pocket, and done everything in our power to grant our featured artists and community-at-large a safe and considerate environment. During, we have also striven to thoughtfully represent marginalized and minority voices in a predominantly white, male landscape. But we recognize that this is not enough. As continued racial, economic, and political disparity is being foregrounded and directly combated within our community, surrounding region, and nation as a whole, it is our prerogative to take a resolute stand against racial discrimination and subjugation of all forms.

While we're not able to offer much by ways of funding and resources, we are able to offer what we do have: office space. This summer and early fall (until our lease ends at the end of October), we are opening our doors in attempt to meet the needs of our community. Starting now, we are accepting proposals and nominations to make Office Space 2 your space: a space for artistic projects, organization, activism, critique, healing, rest, or merely postal address and storage. Considered individuals or groups will be granted full, unquestioned use of the gallery, the Office Space 2 name as needed, and promotion and documentation as requested. Preferential treatment will be given to BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ applicants, and specifically Black artists, activists, and community organizations. All proposals and nominations can be sent over DM or emailed to management@office-space2.com taken in New Brunswick, New Jersey by @officespace2
