Yesterday, I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems. Firstly, I’d like to give all glory to God. He has shown me that through any mountain that life puts in front of me, he will always prevail.

This semester, I was faced with a life threatening injury that revealed to me the importance of navigating through life with God by my side. Unfortunately, I was involved in an accident in which I broke two discs in my neck requiring me to have surgery and leaving me in temporary state of paralysis. This caused me to be absent from school for the rest of the semester. It is only by the power of God and my perseverance that I am now able to call myself an VCU alumni.

I want to show my appreciation to everyone who has supported me throughout my 4 years here at VCU and a special shoutout as well to those who continously checked on me and helped me through my recovery.
