I know you’re watching over me and you’re always going to be there for me no matter what but this was never suppose to happen to you 😕 you are the strongest man I ever knew and the strongest man I ever met. You brought me into this world and you told me there’s nothing I never had to worry about because you got me no matter if I’m wrong or right you never questioned anything I did because you knew I was going to make us shine regardless of what it was that I was doing. I told you day and night that I will always need you no matter how much we bumped heads or got into it.

I never knew the feeling of losing someone to be honest then I lost my older brother then a year and some months later I lost another older brother then 2 months later I lose my BESTFRIEND and my everything. You taught me everything I know, you let me experience things so I could learn from them

You taught me everything I know about football and I’ve made my career based on everything you taught me you always told me that I was born with the talent because you had it and you always wanted me to have that mean streak. I remember the game was on the line and you told me “if I don’t make the play that I had to take all my equipment off and go sit on sidelines and watch us lose.” I sure in hell made that play and we won the championship with that play and you always told me that ima make it the farthest in this family if I want to nobody else can make it happen I got to make it happen.

All the promises that I made to you and everything we said is going to happen I promise it’s going to happen I know you’re watching from above and I’m going make sure you can tell everybody around you “I told you so” because you been calling it since I stepped on the field that I will be the best and there’s nobody or anything that can fuck with me in football if I knew it.

I love you dad don’t worry about nothing down here I got you and I got us. Be stress free please that’s all I ever wanted for you to know is that we’re going to be okay.

When I lost you, I lost a piece of me. I still find myself waiting for that morning call, hearing you say, “What we got going on today, Cat Daddy?”You can never truly prepare yourself to lose your best friend, father, mentor, and idol all in one. You were the strongest man I ever met. No matter what anyone said about our relationship, it was always unbreakable — and it always will be.
