Sometimes, what we call our definition is simply the best version of it that our current exposure has allowed us to see.

This is why we should be careful about defining things too quickly, because what we know is shaped by what we have encountered, and sometimes, we need more information before we can fully understand what we think we already know.

Define, but explore too, let your definitions have room to grow.

When we talk about purpose, we often look at what we are good at, what we’re talented in, what we love, and what we can do exceptionally well.

But what happens when you can do so many things well?

Maybe your triggers can also be a pointer.

What consistently stirs you? What can you not ignore? What makes you feel, “Something has to be done about this”?

It’s been a while. And yes, September is here, and we’re back again like we never left.

HAPPY NEW MONTH!!!

And what better way to start September than with a little introspection?

Sometimes, we need to pause and question the things we have always assumed to be true. Sometimes, the picture we have in our heads may not be the complete picture.

So, what if the picture of freedom we have always held is actually flawed? What if the things we once thought were restrictions were actually giving us something we needed?

What if restraint was not the opposite of freedom, but a path to it?

We talk about education, environment, culture, relationships and exposure as things that shape the way we see life.
But there is another influence we don't interrogate enough and that's who we give our ears to spiritually.

Because sometimes, the limitation isn't in what you can become, it is in what you have learned to see.

We have become incredibly good at naming ourselves, but not always at growing ourselves.
Labels can be helpful, they give language to our experiences and help us identify patterns,
But identification was never meant to be the destination, it was meant to be the starting point.
The danger is when a label becomes an excuse instead of an invitation. When "This is who I am" replaces "Who am I becoming?"
Don't let a label carry the weight of your identity. Let it point you toward the work, not replace it.

I have been meaning to write about this for a while.

Today, after I made a comment on Eric's post ( A number of you found me from my comments Eric's page 😂😂 ), I read a few responses, and it reminded me of something I've been learning over the past few months.

"We don't all stand on the same ground"

The more I grow, the less interested I am in being "right" or getting everyone to see things the way I do. I still have opinions, I still believe in principles. But I'm also learning that people experience life from places I may never fully understand.

I have only lived one life and that's mine

So when I share my thoughts, I share them as an invitation to think, not as the only way to think. If it resonates with you, I'm grateful. If your perspective is different because your journey has been different, that's okay too.

Maybe that's part of becoming more human: holding your convictions with humility and extending grace where understanding falls short.

So yeah we all are standing from somewhere!!!!

We said goodbye to people-pleasing, somewhere along the way, we also said goodbye to healthy restraint.
This isn't a call to return to fear or performance, it's a call to rethink what we celebrate, what we normalize, and what we reward.
Because culture always moves in the direction of what it applauds.
