SureSmile places attachments automatically. You still decide which ones stay.
If the setup gives you a horizontal beveled attachment where you want an ellipse, you can swap it yourself in four clicks, or ask the Digital Ortho Lab team to do it in your case notes.

Leveling this case by incisal edges would have left a tooth size discrepancy at the end of treatment.

Dr. Jonathan Ford (@thedentistsadventure) had the aligners set up by gingival architecture instead. The aligners increased the overjet and decreased the overbite to help the restorations last, then injected composite restored the worn anteriors. Zero tooth reduction.

How do you decide whether an aligner case needs a restorative plan before it starts? by @officialcdocs

Caitlin Clark gets fouled and everyone else sees basketball.

I see a bloody tooth and immediately start treatment planning. 😂🦷

The dentist brain really never turns off.

But moments like this are also a reminder that when the unexpected walks into your operatory, having a bigger restorative toolbox matters.

That’s one of the things I love most about teaching with CDOCS - taking the workflows we use in real clinical situations and breaking them down into something you can actually implement in your own practice.

If you’re ready to expand what you can confidently handle chairside, check out the CDOCS courses and come learn with us.

Because apparently you never know when the WNBA is going to need a dentist. 😂

An Essix retainer with a custom tooth, designed start to finish in inLab.
Dr. Varisha Parikh designs the pontic as a crown with copy and mirror, prints it in Primeprint Temp, then hits Insert All to seat it on the master cast before she builds the splint.
Her tip for fewer seating headaches: keep the faux margin off the contacts.
Save this for your next Essix case. by @officialcdocs

The last few days have been a whirlwind to say the very least.

When @dentsplysirona invited me to present a keynote talk on the main stage of #dsw2026 I was honoured, shocked (a lot shocked), and privileged.

I also felt like it was my duty to share my story too.

To be real, vulnerable, and authentic.

To inspire, motivate and lift up colleagues, wherever they are in their journey of this incredible profession.

To empower everyone who took the time to listen, and give them something they could put into practice Monday morning. (Get after it people…tomorrow is Monday!😂)

I truly want to thank everyone who listened. Everyone who took the time after to tell me my talk motivated or inspired them in some way. Because ultimately that was my goal from the start. 🫶🏻.

And again thank you…

To the people who taught me.

To the people who supported me.

To the people who challenged me.

To the people that encouraged me to say “yes” to opportunities I never imagined for myself

Because no one gets on that big stage alone.

I’m grateful, honoured and humbled.

So much thanks. Now you all go out there. Be better tomorrow than you were last week. And always know, I support you!

What an Annual Mentor Meeting! Amazing clinical lectures and insights into what is coming up from Dentsply Sirona. Our CAD/CAMMIES Award Show hosted by @richrosenblatt and @ponz72 had the crowd laughing and celebrating their Mentor peers.
Congrats to our in attendance CAD/CAMMIE winners, Nathan Wong (@nathan_wong_digital_dentistry) and Carmela LaFalce (@mellie_213)! by @officialcdocs

Here's a prep detail that trips up a lot of good dentists from CDOCS Faculty Dr. Mark Fleming (@mjfdds78).
When you take away tooth structure, the cusp tip should move too, toward the center of the tooth. It's easy to reduce with a straight diamond, make a nice circle, and forget that second plane. The result: a cusp tip that's still sitting right where it started causing unreducing in a critical area. by @officialcdocs
