Eric Gordon was DIFFERENT on the AAU circuit back in 2006.

Playing alongside Derrick Rose for Mean Streets Express, Gordon put on a show at Nike Peach Jam in North Augusta, South Carolina. He dropped 29 points against a loaded Team Final squad featuring Tyreke Evans, while Rose added 20 points and 4 assists.

Gordon and Rose went on to lead Mean Streets Express to the 2006 Peach Jam championship, cementing one of the most memorable AAU runs of that era.

At the time, Gordon was already one of the top high school players in the country at North Central in Indianapolis. He went on to earn McDonald’s All-American and Indiana Mr. Basketball honors before becoming a top-five recruit in the 2007 class.

Eric Gordon became one of the most dominant high school players in the country during his time at North Central in Indianapolis. His scoring ability and strength as a guard helped lead the program to a state championship while establishing him as one of the top recruits in the nation. Gordon continued his career at Indiana before entering the NBA Draft, where he was selected seventh overall. He went on to build a long NBA career playing for the Los Angeles Clippers, New Orleans Hornets/Pelicans, Houston Rockets, Phoenix Suns, and Philadelphia 76ers, winning the NBA Sixth Man of the Year award in 2017.

🏆🌎 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS. 🌎🏆

This wasn’t built overnight.
It was earned in early mornings.
Forged in adversity.
Tested when it would’ve been easier to quit.

EG3 finishes the season as National Champions — and more importantly, as a group that stayed committed to the standard from day one to the final buzzer.

To our players: you fought. You grinded. You pushed through every obstacle. You chose growth when it got hard. That’s what champions do.

To the families who trusted the process — thank you.

It’s been a blessing to coach and compete with this group. Championships are special — but the discipline, brotherhood, and resilience built along the way will last far beyond this season.

The standard held.
The mission continues.
