last month’s music production retreat at our studio is still living rent-free in our heads 🙌 thank you X O’Connor, Seth Mosley, and all the pros who made it possible.

p.s. the track you’re hearing? Seth + X recreated it in just 90 minutes. 🔥

Sometimes the hardest part of songwriting is doing the work when you have no idea where it’s leading.

The songs that don’t get cut still teach you something. The co-writes that don’t lead anywhere still make you better. The seasons that feel slow are still preparing you.

You can’t control when your opportunity comes. You can control whether you’re ready for it.

Keep writing. Keep showing up. taken in Nashville, Tennessee by @officialfcmusic

A reminder for every songwriter who has ever wondered if they’re talented enough:

You don’t have to be the best singer, the most technical producer, or the strongest lyricist in every room. Put in the work, be someone others want to work with, and keep going long after it would be easier to quit.

Consistency will take you further than talent alone ever could taken in Nashville, Tennessee by @officialfcmusic

Your mix might not need a new sample… it might just need one click. 👀

Welcome to Mix Rescue 🚨🎛️ A new series where we’re giving you one simple fix to elevate your mix in under 60 seconds.

First up: PHASE.

When your drums and layered samples are out of phase, you could be losing:
🥁 Punch
🔊 Clarity
💥 Bottom end

And sometimes, fixing it is literally as simple as flipping the polarity.

Same kick. Same samples. Way more impact.

Save this one for your next mix + try it on your drums. 👇
