It’s the first Sunday of October… and I just want to leave this here for someone who needs it.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before you can be grateful. Sometimes, we’re so focused on what hasn’t happened yet that we forget to appreciate what God has already done.

You may not be where you thought you would be by now. You may still be waiting for that prayer to be answered. You may be building from scratch. You may be trusting God for your home, your finances, your business, your career, your family or simply for clarity about what comes next.

But please, don’t let what you are waiting for make you blind to what you already have. There are things you prayed for years ago that are now your everyday reality. There are doors God opened that you didn't even know how to pray for. There are battles He fought for you that you may never know about.

So right now, pause. Look around you. See the little things. Appreciate the people. Thank God for the journey. And if all you can say today is, “Father, thank You for keeping me,” let that be enough. Because sometimes, the biggest testimony isn't what you received…It’s the fact that through everything, God kept you. As we step into another week, may we have the grace to trust God's timing, enjoy our present season and remain grateful while we wait for the next chapter.

So yesterday was this amazing woman's birthday and i couldn't post this here (sori labau dat).

Life changed, and somehow, she found the strength to step up and raise her children. She wasn’t just our mother; she became our father too. She made sacrifices we may never fully understand and gave us the love, guidance, protection and support we needed till now...
Honestly, there are so many reasons to thank God for my mum! Even when things aren’t going as planned, she’ll still rejoice and say, “Nínú gbogbo nkan, máa dúpẹ́.” — In everything, give thanks...

That woman has taught us gratitude without even trying.Oh let me talk about how effortlessly she gives us peace of mind. She has never for once compared us to other children. You leave the house to get something down the street and my mum will NOT call to ask, “Nibo l’ode?” NEVER! Not to talk of travelling, ehhhh😂. My mum will literally become our tracking agent. She will never assume you’re an adult, and honestly, that means a lot.

Growing up with her, you already know that cleanliness is not a suggestion, it is a commandment. Honestly, her love for a clean and well-kept home is one of those things we used to find funny growing up, but now I realise it’s one of the many beautiful values she has passed down to us. And about how much my mum loves our friends, my friends will come to the house and somehow, before they leave, Mummy has already fed them, prayed for them, asked about their families, given them advice and probably told them, “Make sure you take care of yourself o.”

She is the kind of person who treats everyone with the same respect, whether you’re old or young, rich or poor, family or stranger. She doesn’t look down on anyone, and honestly, that’s one of the qualities she passed to us.. If humility had a human form, honestly, it would be my mum 💯

A long overdue moment to appreciate @mopams_cakenconfecionery honestly, this was a WORK OF ART!!!!

Let me start by saying, I genuinely did not want this cake to finish😂 I kept looking at it like, “Surely, this thing can last 2 weeks” Because how do you cut something this beautiful and this delicious and expect me to just move on with my life?😩

Funny enough, I didn’t even meet my baker properly until my the main day. My amazing friend @annie_e__ was the negotiator and I eventually met the baker physically at the event hall when she came to share part of the cake with everyone present. THIS WOMAN CAN BAKE!🔥
The cake was absolutely beautiful on the outside, but what really got me was that the inside matched the outside! Because sometimes you see a gorgeous cake and then taste it and you’re like, “Ah… okay.” 😂. But this one? TOP NOTCH

Beautiful, fluffy, delicious, well-balanced and just everything I wanted my cake to be. Every single person that tasted it had something good to say, and honestly, I was just there smiling like a proud mother.
I was even strategic with my own portion. 😂 I kept the smallest possible portion given to me because I wanted to preserve it and enjoy it little by little.

But apparently, God had plans. Two days after, CAKE IS GONE😂😂 I didn't even get to finish mourning it! 😂
Honestly, I'm so grateful because a cake that makes people keep asking for another slice is a successful cake in my books!

To my amazing baker, thank you! ❤️ You didn't just bake a cake; you created something that became part of the beautiful memories of that day. The design was STUNNING. The execution was BEAUTIFUL. And the taste? Please, let's not even start. 😮‍💨🔥 You absolutely understood the assignment and delivered beyond expectation.
