Listen - Karma isn’t just a movie. It’s a wake-up call wrapped in a thriller. Jas Banks dropped a film that makes you laugh, scream, and then sit there like, “Damn… maybe I went too far once too.” The movie opens with Detective Hernandez @rachwiththe_y interrogating Tim Jr TJ @officialjustushightower, a flashback that happened four years earlier. The group once had a sleepover at TJ’s house that left a girl dead. ☠️ The story centers on four childhood friends who’ve been pulling pranks since sixth grade. Monica, who recently moved to the area, only hangs with this group because of TJ. She even admits that last night was the deceased’s first time hanging out with any of them.
Meanwhile, Detective Shelly @cam_wiggins , who’s been at their precinct for just one year, is being brief to a case involving a 14-year-old girl. Detective Hernandez walks her through the details, saying she believes some kids are involved. That’s when Hernandez drops the line that sets the whole tone of the film:“This thing about karma… it always comes around. It may not be today. It may not be tomorrow. Hell, it might be years from now — but oh, it will get you.” Then, in Spanish: “No puedes esconderte del karma.” (You can’t hide from karma.) That’s the start - straight, simple, and powerful. What started as innocent fun turns into a toxic competition - a whole point system for humiliation. The more chaos you cause, the higher your score. But when Monica (@jbutterfly34) finally says she’s done, the system collapses. Without her, the balance is off. The remaining four - TJ, Walt, Bianca, and Brucey - decide to raise the stakes and plan the ultimate prank: to target one of the “most deserving” people at their school. They each write down two names and drop them into a hat. Walt (@officialja.ali) volunteers Monica’s name. Bianca (@ap0llonia._ ) throws in Nancy, a classmate known for being “weird.” Whoever gets the most votes becomes the target.When they tally the votes, it’s a tie. Walt reaches into the hat, pulls a name, and says- “Monica.” Then he tears up the paper. That’s the moment everything changes. Watch now on @tubi by @officialja.ali
