It’s the Queens bday and of course I reached in the fault to get one of my most fond memories…
Backstory: @jlo would get me to sing at ANY occasion. Christmas parties,Super Bowl parties, you name it, and her bday party in 2017 was no different😍. Made this song up on the spot with @steviemackey and @therealtank hit some bgvs for me! What an amazing night of love to celebrate someone who gives so much of it!!

Performing at the Maspalomas Music Festival in Spain was an absolute dream, but we didn’t just show up, we brought the SOUL that only MEMPHIS can bring!
The festival specifically requested that classic Stax Records sound, and you know I had to pay tribute to the absolute legends who paved the way for artists like me. I started the set with two of the greatest to ever do it: Sam & Dave.
This clip is from @_dwightsanders angle…so while you might not SEE me the whole time, you can damn sure HEAR me delivering that timeless anthem, “Hold On, I’m Comin’”.

Seven years ago, losing my mom broke me in a way the world got to watch in real time. My grief was public, I bled in front of everyone, and if I’m being honest, I even counted myself out for a second. There were plenty of people who thought it was over for me when I had to pack up and move back to Memphis in the middle of a WORLD TOUR due to my Mental Health!
-BUT,you can’t kill a calling!!!
Today, I’m standing in Spain where tomorrow I’ll be headlining the Maspalomas Soul Music Festival as the featured artist with the incomparable @memphismusichof band spearheaded by the legendary @officialkurtkcclayton … and I’m so grateful!
From 14 years in the background to standing fully in my own light—grief didn’t break me, it built me. Mom, this one is for you. Memphis to the world, Dot.Moore is here! 🌍✨

Wednesday recap of a wild week. ⏪ It started with a songwriting/vocal production workshop at Stax on June 19th. That turned into a production invite for their summer series, which beautifully snowballed into an invitation to perform this past Saturday with the kids!!! 🤯🤯Sometimes you just have to show up, do the work, and let the rest fall into place. Thank you, @staxmusicacademy for an unforgettable weekend!

To all the children: There is something so magical about each of you! From beginning to end the show was on FIRE! Every step,note,lead,background,and instrumental was on point! Amazing job to the instructors and to EACH of you! What an honor to have been apart of this.
