One year ago, I had the privilege of standing behind the camera for one of the most beautiful days of my friend's life. @__uwaoma
Watching her walk down that aisle, seeing the joy on her face, and capturing the love between her and her husband @nathanielnaths1 was such a beautiful experience, and today, a year later, I’m reminded that some moments are too special to simply pass. They deserve to be remembered forever.

Happy 1st anniversary, Mr & Mrs Akwawo.🥰 May your love continue to grow, and may the years ahead be even more beautiful than the day we captured a year ago.

Some assignments become memories you’ll carry for a lifetime.

When I was contracted to document the 10th anniversary of the Impact in Leadership Conference, I thought I was simply there to capture an event. I had no idea I was about to witness hope in its purest form amidst the Olodo uprising.

Then came the essay competition.

One after another, secondary school students walked onto the stage—not with fear, but with confidence. They spoke about leadership with a level of conviction that was both humbling and inspiring. As I looked through my camera lens, I couldn’t help but wonder… maybe Nigeria’s best days aren’t behind us after all.

Every speaker who took the stage challenged us to think beyond titles and positions. They reminded us that true leadership is built on character, service, integrity, and the courage to stand for what is right, even when it’s difficult.

For a few hours, the room wasn’t filled with complaints about Nigeria. It was filled with solutions, purpose, and a generation determined to rewrite our story.

As a storyteller, I captured every smile, every applause, every powerful moment. But as a Nigerian, I left with something even more valuable—renewed hope (not the one they promised us).

If these young minds continue to be nurtured, inspired, and empowered, then the future of our nation is brighter than we often believe.

This wasn’t just another conference.

It was a reminder that the leaders we’ve been praying for may already be sitting in our classrooms.

Here’s to raising leaders who won’t just dream of a better Nigeria—but will build one.
