Very excited for this weekend at the @thebrdc classic - here’s a few highlights from recent visits to the Silverstone festival. I can’t wait to see what this event has got to offer as the race card looks stacked Shot for @pit_lane_news_awom by @officialrobwest

Wishing Steve the best of luck as he takes on Spa this weekend. Here’s one from the garage at Silverstone last weekend. His full gallery is coming soon so keep an eye out on my pixieset gallery #ferrari296 #ferrarichallengeuk #silverstone #spafrancorchamps by @officialrobwest

A quick look at the gorgeous 296 challenge car driven by Steve Dopson. If you want to see more from the race weekend check my Pixieset in my bio. #PitLaneNewsComp by @officialrobwest

Super excited for this weekend to be working for Steve Dopson - car #25 in the Ferrari challenge. This round takes us to Donington Park. Can’t wait to combine this car with hopefully a plane landing. My 2 favourite things in one circuit. #ferrari296 #ferrarichallengeuk #doningtonparkcircuit #planes #photographer by @officialrobwest

What I would give to put my helmet back on and get behind the wheel again @officialrobwest ready to go to war at Silverstone - still genuinely mad that a week ago I was packing all my bags to go for the Ferrari challenge test day by @officialrobwest

Ferrari rosso red is such an iconic colour. It looks even better on a racecar @dicklovettferrariswindon @afcorse_official @officialrobwest by @officialrobwest

Yesterday was an absolute bucket list item for Reu Automotive. I was invited to the @afcorse_official test day of their Ferrari 296 cars for the Ferrari challenge. Thank you to @officialrobwest for sorting this out. Hopefully we can organise some race day content when they are back in the UK by @officialrobwest

When asked if I’d race with my legend of a driver who I coach in Ferrari Challenge the answer was an obvious YES! And what better place to do it than the @mastershistoricracing @silverstonefestival With a grid of 47 cars it was never going to be easy, qualifying was tough finding track position with all of the other cars a bit of a challenge on the Silverstone GP circuit, none the less we qualified P14 overall which was a good position considering the quality of cars/drivers that were present at the spectacular event, I knew we could go racing from there.
Race day presented its own difficulties with the changeable weather, it was raining for the race before us but then the sun appeared but the forecast was for further rain around half way through our race. I made the call and gambled on sticking with wets on a damp but drying track. My fantastic co-driver started the race and made fantastic progress making his way past all of the cars that had gambled on slicks which was the wrong call at that present time given the track conditions, Steve made it all the way up to P8 overall and P2 in class!
The pit window opens and we bring the car in for its stop where I take over the controls.
I jump in and get my head down, the track further dries and I can feel my wets really starting to go off! But eventually the heavens open and the downpour that we needed finally came. It rained so hard in fact they had to throw out the red flag!
We came away with a P3 in class so super happy!

The biggest of thank you’s to Steve for having me in the car and a huge thank you to @afcorse_official for giving us an amazing car to go racing with!
