POSTS STORIES REELS

250+ people. One room. One story.

My directorial debut—fully realised, fully received.

What started as an idea became a living, breathing experience shared with a sold-out audience who showed up, stayed present, and gave us a standing ovation I’ll never forget.

This wasn’t just a performance.
It was a statement.

To my cast and crew—you carried this vision with excellence.
To everyone who attended—thank you for leaning in, feeling deeply, and making the space electric.

We built something special. And this is only the beginning.

2017: Aspiring actor in Lagos. 🇳🇬
2026: Nominated filmmaker in England. 🇬🇧🎬

Some full-circle moments deserve their own film. 🥹❤️

The last time I attended the Realtime International Film Festival was sometime between 2017 and 2018 in Lagos, Nigeria, where the festival began. I was a young aspiring actor and registered for the free acting class in the festival programme.

Nine years later, I returned in England as the director of The Cladder, nominated for BEST SHORT FILM — UK!✨

Three unforgettable days in Worcester brought incredible filmmakers from around the world, meaningful connections and two consecutive days of panel sessions with Tony Hyland MBE, where we shared the story behind the film, our creative decisions and the vision and call to action that drove its execution.

Being able to speak about not just WHAT we created, but WHY we created it, was priceless. Because directing, for me, has never been just about getting the shots right. It’s about understanding the story, making intentional choices, leading the creative process and ensuring that every element serves the bigger message..

And reconnecting with Mr Stanley, the festival host, who remembered me from 2017? What a beautiful moment! 🥹

The outfits were OUT-FITTING. 😂✨ And that burgundy dress with the blonde hair? PLEASE. Let me have my moment! 😍🔥 A girl can discuss cinematic storytelling AND serve a look!

To the young woman who walked into that acting class in Lagos: “Keep going. The story is still unfolding”.

Swipe through for the panels, the people, the memories and a glimpse into my journey as a filmmaker. 🎬❤️

I heard all I post is work, so here goes ☺️

I am delighted to announce that “The Cladder” has been officially selected for the 2026 Realtime International Film Festival! 🎬

I have also been invited to attend the festival in Worcester alongside my creative partner and the film’s Writer and Executive Producer Tony Hyland MBE, from 23–25 October 2026.

At its heart, “The Cladder” explores the deeply human experiences of guilt, responsibility and redemption, while honouring the lives affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy. To have this story recognised by a festival committed to filmmakers telling their stories in their own way is deeply meaningful to us.

I look forward to meeting fellow filmmakers, engaging with audiences and sharing this important work on an international platform.

Worcester, we are coming! ✨

A little time travel, a touch of tradition, and a story I’m not allowed to tell you just yet… 👀💙

Yesterday, I stepped into another era—gele tied, beads on, and elegance fully activated. Your girl was a retro video vixen, lol! 🎬✨

I’ll leave the pictures to whisper the rest. Something beautiful is coming from @emekagreen_ 🎶
