🔥 SHE'S HERE. 🔥
Today we proudly released "Burning Touch" — the debut single from NIYA, and the FIRST artist signed to Law Tone Records out of Austin, Texas. 🎧
Niya, we are beyond proud to have you. This is your moment, and it's only the beginning.
Austin — let's talk. For too long, artists in this city have been told there's no real infrastructure here. No pipeline. No machine behind the music. That ends now.
Through Law Tone Records, BLE, and The Orchard, we're bringing real distribution, real A&R, and a real path to the biggest stages in the world — right here, to our city. The talent was always here. Now the infrastructure is too.
Niya is the first. She won't be the last. 🚀
Stream "Burning Touch" everywhere now. Link in bio.

Sing a Song All Night Long

Austin got dealt a certified masterclass last night. Earth, Wind & Fire kicked the evening off and set the bar sky-high, but Lionel Richie and these bro right here, a freakin powerhouse came out and absolutely shut it down for the final stop of the tour.

Right off the top, nothing but excellence on the stage. @oscarseatonjr always puttin' the heavy down, that pocket was locked, while @ebassman commanded the low end and kept the entire arena moving. @chuckiibooker ran the entire ship as MD, dope band arrangements, killer signature vox and commanding the room with pure class, alongside Dino bringing serious heat and showmanship on sax and keys, and the newest member Grecco holding down the guitar foundation with absolute precision. The band gave @lionelrichie exactly what he needed to make a massive statement and close out the tour in Austin with a serious bang. Nothing compares to real musicians playing at the highest level—all love, all brotherhood, legacy, and fire. 🎶🔥🙌🏾 by @officialtoddefunk

Meet the Architect of the Future. 🚀🔨

If you want to build an empire, you don’t just sign talent—you build the infrastructure that allows that talent to scale. For too long, the independent sector has been forced to operate using outdated tools and fragmented frameworks. We are officially changing that narrative.

I am incredibly proud to introduce the newest force joining the Lawtone Records and LawTone Tech family: Jalen Mickey, stepping in as our official Director of Music Technology & Systems Architecture.

Jalen is a brilliant engineering mind who has spent the last few weeks designing a proprietary, enterprise-grade platform from the ground up. His architecture features an automated validation framework built to eliminate operational friction and secure our ecosystem entirely. We are talking major-label precision delivered at independent-label speed.

A lot of people talk about innovation, but we are actively coding it into reality. This young man represents the future of the industry, and I’m honored to have his technical vision backing up my executive execution.

The engine is officially built, and the tracks are laid. Welcome to the family, Jalen. Let's shift the culture.

THE CULTURE WINS: LAWTONE RECORDS ANNOUNCES STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH LIVING LEGEND CHIP SHEARIN

AUSTIN, TX — June 2026 — Lawtone Records has partnered with iconic bassist, master arranger, and producer Chip Shearin for our inaugural release slate, spearheaded by his upcoming masterpiece, And Then I Rise.

With a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame pedigree and three Grammy nominations, Shearin laid down the foundational bassline for "Rapper's Delight." His musical DNA has shaped modern R&B, hip-hop, and funk, alongside scoring major network TV and film campaigns heard by millions worldwide.

"To launch Lawtone Records alongside Chip is an honor and a statement of intent," said Todde Lawton, Founder and CEO. "Lawtone provides an artist-forward infrastructure that protects and amplifies creators of his caliber. With And Then I Rise, we are delivering a masterclass."

Lawtone will handle the rollout, global asset administration, and backend infrastructure for Shearin’s upcoming slate. Protecting independent ownership, Lawtone has aligned with a respected Nashville label services group, spearheaded by a 30-plus year Music Row veteran and architect. Through this elite network, the project deploys top-tier P1 global distribution powered by one of the Big Three major music companies, ensuring massive worldwide reach.

And Then I Rise represents a full elevation and long-overdue global recognition for an iconic musician. Lawtone Records is proud to build the stage for this historic chapter.

Focusing on the architecture of the next move. Discussions in the works. The BLE NASH | ATX Sony Orchard integration.

It’s all about alignment and elevating the standard. With 20+ years in the game, you learn it’s not just about playing the music—it’s about building the platform. Exciting things in development. Stay tuned.
