Happy Friday!!!

I cut this record last night in 30 minutes... Sometimes I swear I'm not even writing music, it's not even me... There's something that comes inside of my body and takes over and I'm just along for the ride... I like to call Divine Intervention LOL

Anyways, here's an absolute banger for you to bump on the weekend LOL

I'm going to upload it to YouTube soon, who knows, maybe I'll crack and finally upload all my s*** to streaming...

When I first started this contest and released this single, I didn't think it was going to resonate with my people the way it did... I have been pleasantly surprised

#music #indigenous #upcomingartist #hiphop #canada

Imagine my face when a supporter tells me they're going to buy the single for $100... If that doesn't break the imposter syndrome then nothing will...

#music #indigenous #upcomingartist #hiphop #canada

There is still 5 days left in the contest, you can purchase the song on band camp and there are two ways to win. The first prize package goes to the person who buys the single for the highest amount, and the second prize package goes to a random draw chosen from all supporters who purchased the single during the duration of the contest.

I appreciate y'all and good luck!!

September suicide prevention month and I really wanted to share my story with everyone...

I think sometimes a small window into the life of other people helps us understand...

We are all the same, pain and suffering is universal, that's why I don't look down on anybody...

I hope my story gives you guys some clarity in a confusing time, the world is a very upside down place right now...

To those of you battling mental health, my heart goes out to you, please understand that you are not alone, I truly feel with you and for you...

This is a tough one to talk about... Because I want to make sure that I am not allowing my emotions to get the best of me... I promised myself a long time ago that I would not allow the oppressor to make me like them... I always told myself that no matter what I would try my hardest to operate from a place of love and understanding... I hope my message rings true for many of you, and I know my community and those that love and support me, are fully aware that I feel this way... I hope people can come together, that is what they fear the most.... A red man, a black man, a white man, all men, in their power, loving the land, loving the earth, and loving one another, that is their greatest fear

It's only 99 cents for everything in my catalog, albums included... But you can always pay more if you want!

Also red river cereal with maple syrup slaps... It's probably a Canadian thing, you wouldn't get it...

This may be one of the most important songs I’ve ever written.

SEEDS was born from watching what is happening around us — immigration raids and families living in fear in the United States, war and suffering in the Middle East, borders being treated as more important than human beings, and political leaders like Donald Trump becoming symbols of conversations that reach far beyond one country or one election.

For me, these subjects aren’t abstract.

I am a Mayan man living on Treaty 7 land. My own life exists because of migration, displacement, survival and the generosity of people and communities who allowed my roots to grow somewhere new. Living in Canada has also meant watching many of these events from relative safety while knowing people connected to the same lands, histories and struggles are experiencing something very different only a border away.

And those borders are young.

Long before Canada, the United States or Mexico existed, our peoples moved, traded, prayed, fought, loved and built nations across this continent.

Over the years, music has allowed me to build relationships from North to South — with Indigenous people across North America, Central America and South America. The deeper those relationships become, the harder it is for me to look at our struggles as separate stories.

SEEDS comes from that place.

It challenges power. It speaks about immigration. It speaks about war. It speaks about colonial borders and the people caught between them. It carries anger, but it also carries hope.

Because seeds survive.

They travel.
They get buried.
They endure winter.
They grow through cracks in concrete.

And generations later, they still remember what they are.

This song is my prayer for my people, my reflection on this moment in history, and my contribution to a much older conversation about who we were before these borders and who we may still become.
