a great post isn’t just good design, and it sure as sh*t isn’t the same template every injector and medspa on the block is using. there are two parts to a great carousel: the visuals and the value. the visual is what attracts them, the value is what hooks them in and keeps them swiping. here is the framework for a perfect carousel: → slide 1: bold hook + strong visual. your cover needs to be on brand and immediately clear about the value. → slide 2: this is your second chance. if someone scrolls past your carousel the first time, instagram will show the post again with the second slide first. use this as a sub-hook with a little more intrigue. → slide 3-7: the build up. this is your story arc. probe the problem, give context, drop stats and examples. → slide 8-9: the aha moment. the big reveal, takeaway, or solution to their problem (you). this is where people get the dopamine hit as a reward of swiping. → slide 10: action. tell them what to do next + where to go. this is your call to action. the best carousels feel effortless, but they need to be built with intention. just like a good brand. + WHO IS OFF LABEL Off Label Agency is the anti-agency creative agency for medical aesthetics, bringing a modern, editorial aesthetic to an otherwise sterile industry. if your staff is showing up looking like they just rolled out of bed, that says something about your business. and not in a good way. injectors showing up in bike shorts and a crop top. aestheticians with greasy hair and stained scrubs. receptionists showing up bare faced with pimple patches. not an ounce of makeup or effort put into their appearance. and it’s not in a cute, low maintenance, clean girl kind of way. this is the AESTHETICS industry. it’s visual by nature. your job is literally to sell beauty and self improvement. and your team is the first example of that before your patient experiences a treatment. if they can’t take 15 minutes to reflect the standard you’re selling, what does that imply about how seriously they take their work? their results? your brand? and to be clear, that’s not to say your staff needs to be showing up full glam everyday. but they do need to look intentional. a little mascara, a tidy bun, scrubs or clothing that isn’t stained and ripped. it’s not superficial, and it’s not asking too much of your staff. this is client facing luxury healthcare. presentation IS part of the patient experience. inconsistency between what you promise and what your staff visually communicates creates friction. that friction leads to brand dissonance that breaks credibility. hold your team to a higher standard. because if they don’t respect your brand, your patients won’t either. and eventually your bottom line will show it. you poured your blood, sweat and tears into building your practice. don’t let it be undercut by people who can’t be bothered to brush their hair in the morning. + WHO IS OFF LABEL Off Label Agency is the anti-agency creative agency for medical aesthetics, bringing a modern, editorial aesthetic to an otherwise sterile industry. if your first move in a slow week is to run a sale, you’re bleeding profit. why? because you can’t groupon your way to growth. listen, i get it. it’s the easiest button to press because instagram is the lowest hanging fruit in a never ending list of tasks and responsibilities as a business owner. a quick template, a discount code, and you get to check “marketing” off from your to-do list for the day. but relying on flash sales and deep discounts is a bandaid. and what’s worse, is you’re training those loyal 20% to only buy when you’re running a sale. then when things don’t work out how you hoped, your takeaway is that instagram “doesn’t work” for your business.
