woke up with so much gratitude! hello & thank you to all the old and new faces here! all the late nights, days when rejections were higher, wearing multiple hats to make this show a reality is finally making sense! This is just the beginning, but I’m so happy to see you here.

I hope this post reminds you that if you have a dream, just go after it. You got this 💛🎬✨🧿

I kept looking for a blueprint on becoming the actor I’ve always wanted to be, but didn’t find one so made a show to build that blueprint and bring the most phenomenal creatives & storytellers to the forefront!

To all my guests so far, thank you for accepting and trusting the cold dm! This show wouldn’t be possible without you!!

fun fact: until last year, @offscriptwithritika was called chai with champs! We’ve had some incredible guests without whom this show wouldn’t be possible - @su4ita @sujataday @rianjalimusic @kalysay @directedbykaranw @monikavsamtani @krushanaik @rachnakhatau @abivarghese @neej.jain @liferenued @anjulnigam @ankurratheeofficial @venkpotula @apoorvarb @a.magic.man @sayanigupta & so many more to come throughout the year! 🙏💛🥺🎬

executive producer & emotional support: @rahuldhiman.film 🎬💛✨ didn’t know what we signed up for when we said we’re making a show, but I can say it’s been the most exciting journey so far!

best advice I ever got: the number one asset to invest in, that will compound exponentially, is yourself. 🫡

oh & we love showing up IRL for storytellers & community across the globe 🎬🫡✨💛

early community partners: @infusioncandleco @indewild @mazalapizza. Thank you for being the best brands to work with & trusting this vision when we were newbies!! 💛🎬✨

I mean this just makes me emotional! 🧿🥺💛✨🎬

Still not over this one. @offscriptwithritika started from two places: a deep love for cinema, and a quiet hope for a blueprint to become the actor @ritikagrawall always dreamt of being. To now sit across from the people I’ve looked up to my entire life, and watch them become friends, mentors, and believers in this journey, is everything. Love you, Sayani. 🤍

She immigrated to Seattle. 9/11 happened. And instead of waiting for the world to get it right, @ritameher built something. This is the story behind the infrastructure of South Asian storytelling in North America. Full conversation on OFFSCRIPT, link in bio.

Most people walk into a pitch and ask for a number. She walked into @netflix and asked them to believe in a filmmaker.

There's a difference, and it's the reason she got a yes. Full conversation with Ritika Agrawal, link in bio.

@bakermovies didn't know he was speaking to a room full of people who had just bought a movie theater.
@ritameher founder of @tasveerorg , the only Oscar-qualifying South Asian film festival in North America, describes the moment his Anora acceptance speech became something personal. Something that confirmed everything.

It took @ritameher two and a half years to make it happen. @tasveerorg is now the only Oscar-qualifying South Asian film festival in existence, meaning a South Asian filmmaker gets a direct path to the @theacademy 's shortlist, no chasing, no hoping, no permission needed. Over a Labor Day weekend, with two days left on a once-in-a-generation grant, @ritameher asked herself: why not ask for exactly what we need? That question, and 22 years of community service, turned into a $2.86 million cash purchase. Tasveer owns its home now. Full episode on YouTube, Spotify and all your favorite platforms!

What does it take to build the infrastructure behind South Asian cinema in North America? @ritameher built @tasveerorg into the longest-running South Asian film festival in North America AND the first Oscar-qualifying one in the US.

She immigrated just after 9/11, paid herself $500 a month to run a nonprofit out of a broom closet, and spent 24 years building what no one else had. 🎬

We get into why South Asian storytellers are still under 2% of mainstream media and what that demands of the people building the ecosystem, how she convinced @netflix to fund South Asian filmmakers, why leading with emotional investment beats leading with ROI, how she turned a planned $600K ask into a $3M grant letter over and bought @tasveerfilmcenter

The audition you've been waiting for could come tomorrow. Are you ready for it?
@castingshivam on the shift every aspiring actor has to make, from waiting to preparing. The opportunities are real. The resources are out there. The only question left is the one you have to ask yourself.
