One of Australia’s leading actors, @katemulvany (Hunters, The Twelve), adapts and delivers a landmark solo performance of Shakespeare’s Richard III – playing every character herself.

Playing at the @artscentremelbourne Fairfax Studio from 13 February.

Directed by Ian Michael (Troy), this reimagining promises to be a theatrical feast – human, darkly funny and heartbreaking. What if history’s greatest monster got to tell his own story, alone?

“We looked for the place to knock it down. We could not find one.” - Offstage review of the MTC’s, Uncle Vanya.

★★★★★

Anne-Louise Sarks’ Uncle Vanya is the centrepiece of @melbtheatreco 2026 season, and it is a story about the struggle to find your own voice — and the far harder business of living with it.

Daniel Henshall’s first stage work in thirteen years. Shaun Micallef’s presence doesn’t command attention; it is attention. Debuts from Philippa Northeast and Catherine Văn-Davies. A stand of autumn trees from Dann Barber that stops being scenery and starts being argument.

Some found the beauty in the struggle. Others chose to live in the ugliness of the success. This cast let us watch both.

Playhouse, Arts Centre Melbourne, until 22 August.

Congrats to the cast and crew of the @jamesterrycollective production of @highschoolmusicalau - Go Wildcats ❤️🤍

Revisiting the 2006 Disney smash-hit musical on stage was such a thrill and the whole cast brought so much energy! Can you believe it’s been 20 years since the movie-musical graced our screens?!

An absolute joy to witness and be there for the opening night - thank you for having us!

👨‍🍳 Behind every chef is a big heart.

We sat down with @johnxactor to chat about playing Cal in the Australian premiere of @waitressau. Known for his generosity, humour, and down-to-earth approach to theatre, John reflects on a career spanning more than three decades.

John speaks of the joy of creating this production with an incredible cast, and why Cal's tough exterior hides someone who deeply cares for those around him.

It’s officially @thetonyawards night and what better way to announce our Offstage takes New York series.

We had the absolute honour of interviewing @kylalouiseb and @dassetta who are both currently shining in @chessbway and @andjulietbway.

What a thrill it was to speak to both of them about their experience of moving to the Big Apple and landing shows on Broadway!

Watch this space for their interviews coming being soon! 👀

We had the thrill of interviewing the wonderfully talented, Gareth Isaac who is currently capturing hearts as the hilariously eccentric Ogie in @waitressau.

We chatted about:
🥧 Growing up in a family of musicians and singers
🥧 Originally auditioning for the show back in 2019
🥧 Gareth's favourite songs and lines from the show
🥧 The small touch to his costume that most people wouldn't notice

🔗 Read about this and so much more in the link in our bio.

And go get your tickets to see @waitressau before it shuts at @hmt_melb on 19 July and heads to Sydney.

We caught the Australian premiere of @WaitressMusicalAU last week and we’re still buzzing. 🥧

For me, this show is personal. From seeing Sara Bareilles perform “She Used to Be Mine” live at the Beacon Theatre in 2015 to watching her lead the Broadway cast in 2017, Waitress has always held a special place in my heart. 🩷

What makes Waitress a standout is how it keeps the spirit of the original film alive, even retaining much of the sharp, funny dialogue. With the added bonus of the music and lyrics of pop superstar, @sarabareilles

Don’t miss @waitressau now playing at @hmt_melb
