In 2020 Eli Moore produced this Slashed Tires music video for the song “Lost Distance” that we are glad to now (finally) release. Filmed in Clinton, Washington at Crazy Crates as a test, however after Eli experimented with the cut, both Eli & Kenneth thought it was good as is. Linked in the bio. Enjoy!

Today our Seattle friends R.C. Love and the Goodness Gracious release their new song “untitled (Axe vs. Recycling Bin)”. Produced and engineered by Kenneth M. Piekarski (Slashed Tires), and mastered by Nicholas Wilbur (mem. New Issue) at The Unknown in Anacortes, Washington.

*R.C. Love* is a casual but dedicated activity for the enduring friendship of Catherine Cougan and Jared Harkness, a garage-rock or pop kind of music, philosophical if you really listen, which certainly reflective in theis single.

Commissioned by Jared's brother, Reed Harkness, for his documentary film Sam Now, which has been making its way through several film festivals over this last year and it sounds like everyone loves it, which is excellent.

The New York Times even wrote a nice review.

The song is from Jared's perspective as a child and his feelings as it relates to the experiences growing up with his younger brother.

And why now? Clearly you were curious and well, the reason is that the film will have its PBS Independent Lens premier on Monday, May 8, and we thought it a good time to release it today on Bandcamp. Other platforms will come later, hopefully coinciding with the release on Monday, provided that the automated release schedule does its job as planned.
