POSTS STORIES REELS
Social media isn’t inherently fake or real - it’s what you make of it. It can be a highlight reel, a place for education, a community, and/or simply a creative outlet. For me, personally, my space is very real. What I share. The connections I’m making. My objective. All while still keeping things for myself. ✨ Some people share everything, some share nothing, and both are valid. ✨ Privacy isn’t deception, it’s boundaries. ✨ You are in charge of how you consume, respond, and protect your peace. This is why, every workshop I have hosted (and every one I will host) always begins with one thing: facing the relationship YOU currently have with social media. Because how authentic it feels depends less on the platform and more on your behavior, your boundaries, and your perspective. 📸 @caramoriartyphotography #SocialMediaManagerLife #RichmondContentCreator #RichmondSocialMediaAgency #CommunityEngagement #CommunityBuilding by @offthecoastcreative
This past weekend in Charleston, SC, I had the absolute honor of hosting the very first @offthecoastcreative Content Creation Intensive + Retreat. 📸🌴🌊🐚 What started as a dream turned into something truly transformative - because of the women who said yes. They showed up ready to learn, to connect, to laugh (my cheeks still hurt), and to hold space for one another in a way that felt like pure magic. We talked entrepreneurship. We talked womanhood. We shared stories, strategies, and dreams. And somewhere in between the late-night conversations and the b-roll, this group went from strangers to “people who feel like family.” This is just the beginning for us. 💕 To my retreat girlies (now retreat alumni), thank you for trusting me, for bringing your whole selves, and for reminding me exactly why I do what I do. There is so much to share from this retreat, but it had to start with my gratitude for these woman. #SocialMediaRetreat #ContentCreationRetreat #WomenWhoCreate #CommunityOverCompetition #CharlestonRetreat by @offthecoastcreative
If your brand was a home movie 🎥✨ … this is what it would look like. Snippets of Laura’s VIP content day + brand session, captured in the little in-between moments on the Sony. B-roll gallery has been delivered, but so excited to send this sweet surprise. @laurajonesrealestate is one of the sweetest souls - her warmth, kindness, and laughter are exactly what makes her brand magnetic. 🤎🧸 It’s not just the polished shots that tell her story, it’s the candid smiles, the way she lights up when talking about what she loves, and the energy she naturally brings. That’s the beauty of “Your Brand’s Home Movie” - it gives your audience a chance to feel who you are, not just see what you do. Because posed content builds recognition, but the in-between moments? That’s where the connection happens. Add “Your Brand’s Home Movie” to any of our content packages to share your story in the most authentic way. #RichmondRealtor #RichmondContentCreator #RichmondSocialMediaAgency #RichmondMarketing #RichmondContentCreation by @offthecoastcreative
A little wedding content BTS from this past weekend! 🤍🎥 I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of wedding mornings. There’s just so much excitement, anticipation, and pure joy in the air, and I love getting to be a small part of it all. One of my favorite things about what we do is getting to experience a wedding day from a completely different perspective. We get to see the little moments happening in between the big ones, hear the conversations, witness the happy tears, and celebrate alongside some pretty incredible people. And while I love the creative side of what we do, I think what makes it so special is the people and the stories we get to be part of. It’s never lost on me that we’re being trusted to capture a day that means so much to someone. And getting to go back through all that content afterward and relive those moments all over again? Easily one of my favorite parts. 🥹🤍 Just really grateful this is something we get to do! by @offthecoastcreative
Half of this is literally me hyping myself up in the car before my client’s 4hr brand shoot 😂💃 also, so wild that I’ve been with this client 8 years! by @offthecoastcreative
May 2027 content retreat loading... ✈️🌴🐚🤎 I can’t believe it’s already been a whole year since our first content retreat in Charleston. Ten business owners and creators from four different states came together for a few days of content, strategy, connection, learning, and a whole lot of fun. We created SO much content, explored Charleston, ate really good food, stayed up talking, laughed a lot, stepped outside our comfort zones, and watched new friendships form in real time. 🥹 It became so much more than leaving with a full camera roll. It was getting out of the day-to-day, being surrounded by women who get it, and having the space to think bigger about your business and brand. And nowwww... we’re doing it again. In a new state. 👀 Because I don’t think a business retreat should feel like sitting in a conference room for three days. I want this to feel like the girls’ trip you needed + the brand trip you’ve been craving + the content day you wish could last an entire weekend. For May 2027, we’re taking everything we loved about Charleston and leveling it up. The goal? Go home refreshed, inspired, ready for your next level, AND with a full bank of content to show for it. Charleston, you set the bar pretty high. 🤍 Where do you think we’re going next? 👀 Comment “RETREAT” to join the waitlist. Early bird tickets go on sale October! by @offthecoastcreative
I was talking to someone who’s interested in becoming a “local” influencer - someone who goes out to different businesses, reviews them, creates content, and uses their platform to spread awareness. She mentioned that she was worried the space might already be oversaturated. My response: don’t worry about it being oversaturated. Be more concerned with how you plan on approaching it and what your angle is going to be. How will you position yourself differently? Because at the end of the day, you are what someone can’t replicate. Your mannerisms, how you speak, the energy you give off, the world you build - those are the things that make you uniquely you. There will always be people doing similar things, especially when it comes to food, restaurants, and local businesses. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for you. You just have to figure out what makes your approach different. For example, as a mobile food vendor, I’ve noticed there aren’t as many creators highlighting mobile vendors compared to brick-and-mortar businesses. A lot of creators naturally gravitate toward restaurants because they’re established, have a physical location, and are easier to discover. That’s an angle. If I were interested in doing this, I’d look for opportunities like that. Maybe your thing becomes discovering food trucks, mobile vendors, pop-ups, small businesses, and hidden gems that don’t get the same exposure as larger businesses. You’re not just saying, “Here’s another restaurant review.” You’re positioning yourself as someone who puts people onto local businesses and gives them exposure. If you can consistently create good content, tell their story, bring people through the door, and help them get discovered, you’re providing something beyond just a review. You’re also building trust within the community following you. So I wouldn’t let the fact that other people are already doing it discourage you. Almost every space is going to feel oversaturated from the outside. The question isn’t, “How many people are doing this?” It’s “What can I do differently, and what lane can I create for myself?” Start creating ✌️ by @offthecoastcreative
Think about the last business you couldn’t stop recommending. It probably wasn’t because of one perfectly designed post. ✨ It was how they made you feel. The goal isn’t just to be memorable. It’s to feel familiar, trustworthy, and impossible to forget. That’s what strong branding does. It builds connection long before someone becomes a customer. How do you do this within your brand? Don’t be afraid to incorporate the things that make you, you. Your sense of humor. Your quirks. The stories you tell. The way you speak. The things you LOVE. The little details that make your business feel human. Those aren’t distractions from your brand. They are your brand. People connect with people before they connect with businesses. So keep showing up. Keep sounding like yourself. Because the brands people remember are the ones that make them feel like they’ve found someone they’d genuinely enjoy knowing. 🤎 #richmondsocialmediaagency#richmondcontentcreator #richmondmarketing#richmondva #socialmediaagency by @offthecoastcreative

Yesterday I spent the whole day with the students at NVLET teaching social media, and it reminded me how much I genuinely love teaching it just as much as I love doing it. 🩵 There’s something so rewarding about watching someone go from “I have no idea what to post” to confidently mapping out content they can’t wait to create. We spent the day talking strategy, building hooks, brainstorming content ideas, and every student left with their own signature content series they can immediately start creating. One of the frameworks we worked through was the 4H Method by @shannonmckinstrie - a content planning system I’ve implemented for years across my own business and with clients in a wide range of industries. It creates a sustainable content strategy that removes the daily guesswork while keeping connection at the forefront. Instead of constantly asking, “What should I post today?” you have a framework that allows you to show up consistently, educate your audience, and build trust over time. The beauty of the aesthetics industry is that your personal brand is one of your biggest assets. Whether these students go on to open their own business or join an established MedSpa after getting licensed, they’re already setting themselves apart by intentionally building their online presence now. Social media is a long game, and the best time to start building your brand isn’t after you get your license - it’s before. By the time they’re ready to welcome clients, they’ll already have a foundation of trust and recognition. Thank you, NVLET, for inviting me back to do these workshops. I can’t wait to watch these students take what they learned and put it into action. #richmondsocialmediaagency #richmondcontentcreator #richmondmarketing #richmondva #socialmediaagency by @offthecoastcreative
If you’ve been here for a while, none of these will surprise you. 🩵 This is how I approach business, marketing, and life. Not everyone will agree with it, and that’s okay. I’m not here to chase every trend or tell you what you want to hear. I’m here to help you build a business that lasts. If that’s your kind of content, welcome. 🤝 📸 @caramoriartyphotography #richmondsocialmediaagency#richmondcontentcreator #richmondmarketing#richmondva #socialmediaagency by @offthecoastcreative
Which reminder about social media did you need today? 🌊✨⤵️ 1. You don’t need to go viral to grow. 2. Consistency will always outperform perfection. 3. Your audience isn’t tired of hearing your message. 4. Not every post is meant to sell. 5. Showing up matters more than showing off. 6. People buy from brands they recognize. 7. Done is better than sitting in your drafts. 8. Your next client could be watching quietly. 9. The algorithm changes. Trust doesn’t. 10. The best time to post is the time you’ll actually post. #richmondsocialmediaagency #richmondcontentcreator #richmondmarketing #richmondva #socialmediaagency by @offthecoastcreative
