✨ Spreading accessibility, accommodations, attitudes of compassion, understanding & advocacy. ✨

There’s been an overwhelming amount of ableist media coming across my feed && I have thoughts. I’d like to edit the narrative around disabilities that are aligned with my own personal feelings.

The Internet has made the world more accessible. Disabled content creators are now able to share their experience with the world. We are able to build communities together based on shared experiences.

When disabled content creators start trending, the disabled community WINS because someone may learn their unexplained symptoms are similar to someone else’s, or learn about a new mobility aide that would help them avoid a flare up, or feel seen in a way they’ve never been seen before and feel hopeful.

When accommodations become cool, the world becomes more accessible and prioritizes supporting people’s wellbeing.

I hope we can attract the RIGHT medical studies & funding for women’s health so we can find cures for things like endometriosis & understand women’s heart disease.

We, as a collective, can give women a place to grieve, a place to heal, a place to feel at peace.

Alert the media!!!! @twentyonepilots Ohio show is in 15 days!!!!!!!!!! I’m so excited!!!!! While recovering from surgery, I made a bunch of stuff to trade/hand out!!! I also want to create content with all the banditos!!!!

This is my first show post endometriosis & hysterectomy surgery. So I’m a bit nervous about that but overall I’m feeling loads better than pre-surgery. So I’m hopeful that I’ll doing well traveling & attending the show.

Maybe, just maybe, I’ll get my life back. I’m cautiously optimistic. 🩷

Uggggggghhhh!!!! I’m annoyed. I spent 8+ hours preparing for a doctor’s appt with a new PCP. (My previous PCP moved 😭) Because my medical history is as long as the Artemis II Mission, I like to provide my PCP with a quick history & have my goals for the appointment ready.

To do that, I read through months of previous doctor’s notes (printed, highlighted & store in my medical binders with post it notes w/tasks & follow ups), look up medical terms to better understand what the notes & tests mean, and combine all my gathered knowledge into my “Doctors Visit Worksheet”.

I’ve been testing this Doctors Worksheet for a few months. It has a brief summary of my medical history, testing results, and information I like to have handy because I literally can’t remember all of it. (My goal is to make this into a spiral notebook & put it on my Etsy but I’m not there just yet!)

Anyway, I was so tired after organizing everything, I fell asleep before I could turn on my alarm & I missed my appointment. I prepare for these appointments like a college exam. I’m disappointed but I rescheduled & made myself a tasty breakfast.

✨My Endo Journey ✨ Last Minute Errands | T-1 day before Endometriosis excision surgery.

✨Errands ✨
Groceries. Organize pantry. Store back fill. Finish laundry. Idk … feeling tired & was hit with a migraine. &&& I can’t take my normal meds because they don’t allow them before surgery.

✨Pain Relief ✨
Me & my emotional support ice pack will be in bed till further notice

✨My Endo Journey ✨ Shopping & Rest T-2 days before Endometriosis excision surgery.

✨Costco Haul ✨
I’m very fortunate to have 2 weeks of full time care post surgery. They will be there to help cook for me. I bought items in bulk to assist with meal prep for my care team & to freeze for the future when I don’t have full time support.

T’was mucho dinero. $361

✨ Rest ✨
I’m doing my very best to relax & enjoy some time out of the house. Good thing I live near the beach 🌴🌊☀️

✨My Endo Journey ✨ Lab Work Edition 🩷 T-3 days before Endometriosis excision surgery.

Before my surgery, my doctor wanted me to get labs done. The facility was very efficient. You could check in online & they would text you when you were up next.

When your number was called, you’d go to the designated stall where the phlebotomist would:
- Confirm your tests
- Asked which arm you’d prefer
- Sterilize the area
- Put a band around your upper arm
- Check the vein
- Counted to 3 and placed the needle
- Filled appropriate tubes.

It took less than 5 minutes &&& I left with a sticker!

Surgeon Requested: CBC & Plt & Diff, &
Comprehensive Metabolic Panel.
