2022–2026 A short glimpse into my flexibility journey since October 2022. The deeper I go, the more I fall in love with the process. . Check out the link in my bio for live flexibility classes & classes on-demand 🥨 by @ofri_agmon
The only pancake where flat is the goal. A few drills I love adding to my routine, using a box or any elevation you have at home 🥞 . . 📸: @social_talavramov by @ofri_agmon
Most backbends are built on these elements. train them separately to reach deeper and safer ranges 🥨 by @ofri_agmon

Post backbend recovery is just as important as working on your range of motion, if not more. Here are a few exercises I love doing after backbend sessions 🩷 @declub_tlv Lie on your back and push against a wall. Bring your knees to your chest, round your back and lift your pelvis off the floor - curling into a tight ball. Slowly lower your pelvis and extend your legs forward, keeping your lower back pressed into the floor. If your back starts to arch, raise your legs higher. Set up in a deep squat on a box (or an elevated surface) and hold a heavy weight (elevate your heels if needed). Keep your hips low and let the weight pull you down, rounding your back. At your deepest range, start straightening your legs while staying close to your thighs and pushing the weight towards the floor. Keep the weight close to the box. Start on all fours. Slide one arm underneath you and rest your head on the floor. Reach the other arm up, then let it drop towards the opposite side - allowing your upper back to twist. I like holding a light weight to keep the arm relaxed and deepen the twist. Place one shin on an elevated surface, with your back knee on the floor. Gently alternate between rounding and arching your back to deepen the glute stretch. Place a small elevated surface (like a yoga block) under your back knee to make it less intense. by @ofri_agmon

Love me some pancakes 🥞 Here are a few exercises to build strength at end range and improve your pancake flexibility From a kneeling position, slide one leg out to the side in external rotation, going only as far as you can actively return from. Optional to hold a weight overhead to make it more challenging. At end range, I like to switch to a flexed foot to get a little extra length through the leg before coming back up. Stand on two blocks with a gap between them, so the arch of your foot is unsupported. Place a resistance band right under the arch. The more wraps you add, the greater the resistance. Lift your back leg as high as possible while lowering your back and keeping it straight. Once you feel a stretch in your hamstrings, return to standing. Place blocks under your feet. The higher the blocks and the closer they are to your feet, the more challenging the exercise becomes. Start straightening your knees, lean your torso slightly forward, and try to lift your hips off the floor. Hold for a few seconds. Lie on your back with a resistance band positioned between your lower back and legs. Let the band pull your legs into a deep split, then actively bring them back together. I’m demonstrating a variation for those whose feet touch the floor when lying on their backs. This is a great opportunity to use elevation and work on oversplits. Slide into your deepest middle split. From there do a push up, lowering your chest and hips toward the floor. Push back up, then actively pull your legs inward. Try to keep as much of your weight on your legs as possible. by @ofri_agmon
Touching the floor with straight legs is a limitation many people experience. Here are a few exercises you can do in just 10 minutes to improve your forward fold range of motion. Exercise 1 2 sets × 10 reps Exercise 2 60-second hold with 3 PNF contractions. 10 seconds of resistance per contraction. Exercise 3 Part 1: 10 reps of straightening the leg with your foot pointed, while keeping your core engaged. Part 2: 10 reps of bringing your chin toward your chest, holding for 3 seconds each time. Exercise 4 3 sets of PNF. 10 seconds per contraction: push your heel into the floor while simultaneously trying to drag it toward you, then relax and deepen the stretch. by @ofri_agmon
