Processing MULLEIN is quite simple!

1.) Wash your leaves.
2.) Pat dry.
3.) Cut the stems in half to aid the dehydration process, since the stems contain the most moisture.
4.) Dehydrate outdoors, or indoors with an oven or dehydrator.
5.) Store in an airtight jar away from light. Label.

Happy processing! 🙏🏼🧿🌿

Lessons from Mother River. Just as water can be passive, it can be active. Just as it can flow, it can rage. Tap into your divine feminine. Embrace the duality of water.

Some monitor people. I monitor mushrooms & mosses. 🍄 We're not the same.

Creeping Myrtle made itself known to me whilst on a hike. The dark forest had shimmers of light cascading through the leaves. It draped a navy blue glow onto this patch of periwinkle, making my head snap towards it. We spoke. We exchanged. We're now becoming familiar. Plantcenstors will make themselves known. Hahom. Àse. 🙏🏽🧿🌀

This is definitely going to ruffle some feathers, but I'm here to teach, even if you're triggered.

1.) It takes TIME and ENERGY to build a relationship with one deity alone. Learning what they like, learning how to honor them- it all takes dedication. To be able to cater to multiple deities effectively and cultivate those relationships takes years of practice. I'm not saying it's impossible, but I'm finding that many people are starting to say they work with multiple entities like they're collecting Pokémon. Gotta catch 'em all. When that's not what this is about.

2.) Karma does not mean "what goes around, comes around." That's cause and effect. They're different. Believing in Karma also insinuates that you believe in time being linear (or at the very least sequential if running with the "cycle" narrative) which if you then try to say, "The past, present, and future are happening at once," you're directly contradicting Karmic values. You can't partially adhere to Vedic beliefs because it suits your narrative (even if poorly at best).

3.) Your local spirits know the land. Their energy saturates your surroundings whether you care to acknowledge it or not. Working with local spirits and attuning to the energy of your home, workplace, local businesses, will make you a more powerful practitioner than those that skip to working with any other entity with zero connection to the land.

Here are some of my controversial spiritual opinions. I'm planning on making this a series because there is so much to elaborate on.

• You should connect with yourself before connecting with other spirits. How do you even know who or what to work with if you don't know what's bringing you on this journey to begin with?

• Working within your lineage is key to unlocking spiritual power that lies dormant within your DNA. It's also rather synergistic. Magic practiced within your cultural roots tends to come easier than that outside of your lineage. Heritage is the culture you're surrounded by. For example, I am not Dutch, but I live surrounded by Pennsylvania Dutch Hexology and Germanic folk practices. I also live on Lenape land. In order to appreciate the land, community, and spirits, I do my best to learn what I can if it isn't a closed practice.

Sometimes we can't always learn about our lineage, or do so with ease. Many practices require us to have a mentor or travel to our motherland. Not all of us can financially accommodate this. In these cases, this opinion doesn't exactly apply to you.

• Lastly, the whole point of spiritual practices is to bond with the land, spirits, and work with our fellow humans in harmony. Easier said than done; however, a spiritual practitioner who has no respect for the natural world (of and beyond this planet and dimension) truly only has a juvenile understanding of what magic and energy is. Magic isn't just about what spells you can and can't do for yourself. It's not just about the aesthetic. It's about understanding interconnection and having the autonomy to dictate your role within it. Otherwise, I firmly believe most people are in it to look edgy, special, or their work is weak.

What do you think? Sound off in the comments.

Take a breather. Take a pause. Set your phone down. Stretch. Drink some water. Re-center. 🙏🏽🌿🧿

Too busy creating a life I don't want to escape from... 🌀

I don't want to drink it away, smoke it away. I just want to live in the moment, sober, clear, and free.

Let's talk about the spiritual power of water. 🌀
Water is responsible for creation. Water sustains us and acts as a portal. There are so many untapped powers and potential carried within water that we seldom take advantage of. From physical health to spiritual wellness, water is essential to all.
