Some businesses start with a lease and a business plan. This one started with buckets of flowers and a flower bike. This summer, that setup grew into a proper storefront in Old Greenwich, and the neighborhood now has a florist where arrangements look like they were picked from a garden an hour ago and never quite finished being arranged.

KEY TAKEAWAYS: OG Petals is a boutique, female-owned floral studio at 238 Sound Beach Avenue, Old Greenwich, CT 06870, founded by florist Molly Van Sickle. The shop opened this summer and specializes in loose, garden-style arrangements and artfully composed bouquets. Customers can buy wrapped bouquets to go, gather their own stems by the bunch, or ask for a custom arrangement made while they wait. The studio also offers floral subscriptions, event florals and design, bouquet bars, and seasonal workshops, along with vases, candles, chocolates, garden tools, cards, and vintage pieces.

Old Greenwich just got a new favorite stop 🌸

@og_petals is now open on Sound Beach Ave, and it's already one of the prettiest shops in town. Owner Molly VanSickle is also a JK Team client, so we've had a front-row seat to the care she's putting into every detail.

Love supporting local and good people, and Molly and her team are both!!

If you're on Sound Beach Ave this week, stop in and say hi 💙

Today’s Stem Bar is a fall dream 🍂

Peachy garden roses, coral roses, ranunculus, dahlias, ruffled lisianthus, blush astilbe, scabiosa pods, and amaranthus for that perfect autumn drape. Pick a few, pick a dozen. Every stem is priced individually, so you build exactly the bouquet you want.

Stems start at $4. Come play!

Our Bloom of the Week is a true OG Petals favorite: the dahlia. Just look at all those layers of blush, coral, and deep berry petals. Every stem is its own little work of art.🎨

Dahlia season is winding down, so now’s the time to enjoy them. Stop by the Stem Bar Tuesday through Saturday and tuck a few into your bouquet while they last.

I talk all the time about how the beloved "third space" is ever elusive and how desperately we need to revive it. Liz started @subwaytosuburbsmeetups with the intention of creating beautiful and effortless get-togethers for women who left NYC and all her bustling glory for a slower and more intentional pace in the suburbs - proving that you can absolutely have your cake (or in our case, prosecco) and eat/sip it too!

Liz graciously hosted Charmie for this weekend's event at @og_petals , a flower shop adorned with precious antiques and modern floral arrangements tucked in the heart of Old Greenwich. Everyone took their time filling their bracelets with charms while catching up and making new friendships. It was perfect.

India Hicks has a way of making hosting feel easy: a beautiful table, good company, and nothing too precious.

This week we spend two evenings with India and Hudson Grace, in two shops and two dining rooms.

San Francisco, Thursday, October 22. Presidio Heights.
Greenwich, Saturday, October 24. Greenwich Avenue.

A hands-on floral design workshop with Le Bouquet in San Francisco and OG Petals in Greenwich. Hudson Grace after hours, with cocktails, personal shopping and India on how a table earns its memory. A signed copy of Entertaining, with a Side of Chaos, a portrait with India, and dinner with her as our guest of honor: SOCIALE in San Francisco, Le Penguin in Greenwich.

Final seats remain in each city. Reserve through the link in bio or by visiting www.edgeescapes.com/india-hicks. EDGE members book first.

Find us at the patch! 🌻

This Saturday, October 17, we’re trading the shop for the pumpkins. OG Petals will be popping up across the street at the Old Greenwich School Pumpkin Patch from 11 AM to 4 PM with fresh fall bouquets ready to grab and go.

Pick your pumpkin, pick your blooms, and support OGS while you’re at it. Our shop at 238 Sound Beach Ave will be closed for the day, so come find us at the patch! 🍂🧡
