God is so good.
Women are so magical.
Black women make the world go ‘round.

So appreciative of the convo @alesialanimusic and I had before my girlie arrived earthside. It’s been an amazingly beautiful + wild ride since then. Being a girl mama is different, and has been the most eye-opening experience I’ve had so far. What a life. 🤎

growing a human + staying out of the way (an update). ✨

Life’s been lifing.
I’ve been resting + recharging and have put a lot on hold, creatively and recreationally.
Growing organs is really hard work.

I tried to overlook that fact at first, and ended up burning out really quickly. As of late, I’ve had to surrender to my body and to my growing infant in all ways. I feel like I’ve learned so much about myself, about love, and about how incredibly fragile this time can be (mentally and physically). Allowing myself to lean into the strength it takes to become incredibly weak has been…a time. But, I’m grateful for the changes and all that is to come.

So many blessings.
So much gratitude.
So ready to meet this tiny human in a few weeks, and give her all the love I’ve always needed.

What a time to be alive.
