I love a food hall and I love getting takeout and this is the best of both worlds! There is such a nice variety to choose from, from pizza to wings to sushi to wraps, you can find a little something for everyone. I honestly enjoyed everything I tried here and I look forward to going again soon❗️

BUTTERNUT SQUASH PASTA

or more specifically… butternut squash pasta sauce, rigatoni, sun dried tomatoes, pan-fried chicken, lemon & garlic sautéed swish chard, and roasted broccoli ⭐️

Y’all this pasta is one of my absolute FAVORITE meals to make in the fall and for good reason. It’s rich and delicious, makes your kitchen smell unbelievably good, and makes a LOT of sauce - which I’m planning to use as a dip for grilled cheeses.

The original recipe is from @halfbakedharvest, but I’ve made it so many times that these days I wing it!
MN tip: Cub Foods has a poultry fresh herb blend that is perfect for this dish 👌

This fall, check out the @mn_arboretum AppleHouse 🍎🍁🍏

One of my favorite parts of fall is getting apples from the AppleHouse. Stop by and shop all the apple goodies you can imagine. I picked up some Sweet Tango apples, local apple cider, a butternut squash grown in their backyard, apple butter (we add it to chili- trust me!), a maple root beer, and of course a caramel apple.

Don’t forget to stop at @northstardonuts for some hot apple cider mini donuts, a caramel apple slushie, and a maple salted caramel cold brew. It’s the perfect way to spend a chilly fall morning!

Saturday Morning on the Farm haul! I got to see cows, chickens, pigs, sheep, and their gorgeous garden. I left with a load of fresh produce and I can’t wait to show you what I make with everything! I’m thinking zucchini bread, roasted chicken, peppers & potatoes, a pretty salad, and homemade pickles 🐓 taken in Gale Woods Farm by @ogbakes_

2026 Minnesota State Fair Roundup 🎡

Holey Hamloaf Breakfast Sandwich from the Hamline Church Dining Hall. This absolutely hit the spot first thing in the morning. It’s probably not for everyone, but I loved it!

Maple Cream Nitro Cold Press Coffee from the Farmers Union. This isn’t my favorite coffee at the fair, but I’d still try it if you haven’t before

Hmong Corndog from Union Hmong Kitchen. This was another winner. I love a corndog and this was a very good corndog

Berry Slammer Hard Seltzer Cocktail by Summer Lakes Boat House. Very refreshing and surprisingly not too sweet, would get again!

Frozen Cider Pop from Minnesota Apples. I get this every time I go, always have, always will

Twist Cone from the Dairy Barn. A classic for a reason, you can never go wrong with a twist cone

Bao Belly from RC’s BBQ. I really liked the flavor but the pork was a tougher than I would’ve liked. I’m glad I tried it, the veggies were great, but I probably wouldn’t get it again

Pickle Pizza from Rick’s Pizza. I’m a creature of habit and if the line is short I cannot not get a slice, even if I’ve had (dare I say) better pickle pizza other places

A few weeks ago, I had the JOY of making two cakes for two extra special weddings, all in one chaotic but incredibly lovely weekend!!

From the planning, assembling in an Airbnb (throw in a family trip to Duluth that weekend too!), transportation, and getting to see the happy couples take their first bite, it was absolutely a weekend to remember.

Both are vanilla cakes with vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream, one filled with strawberry jam and one with raspberry. As you can see… they were demolished 🤩
